Wartime London analogies

hey whats up? i am writing a paper on a few analogies between Narnia and London during the time of World War II, and i was wondering what some of your thoughts on them were.

I. The cold Narnia winter is compared to the bombing of London
II. Man’s basic need for religion as guidance is compared to the
children being introduced to Narnia for support of their faith.
III. The Pevensie children’s missing father is compared to Aslan of
Narnia.

What do you think about these analogies? Did you find any clues in the book that substantiate these analogies that maybe i didnt see? Any input or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alan

hi Alan, nice to have you hear, I hope we can answer your questions!

II and III are very likely, I think that III has been mentioned by Lewis also. As for I, I'm not sure I ca see the links? Perhaps if you could explain the reasonaing a little further people could give you some quotes?

Re III, the Prof alos has the fatherlike presense, especially I think for Peter- the wiseness and the advice etc
