Wasn't Susan annoying...

I thought Susan was kind of annoying in the movie. Like when Peter accidentally let go of Lucy and Susan's let "what have you done!" and started yelling at Peter...I dont know..she was just kind of all mean and annoying in the movie. Demanding! and she was hardly ever like that in the book. But I did like this..

"I'm just trying to be realistic" "No, your trying to be smart, as usual"

realistic....logcial

The reason she yelled at Peter was more out of concern for Lucy than anger. I'm sure she was still new to Narnia, and that's what made her irrational. I don't think she was mean or annoying. I thought she was portrayed well. I'm only saying this, but I could be wrong, but isn't this a general gripe thread? Like those that aren't accepted and locked by a mod?

Sorry, wrong.

I didn't find anything wrong with her, but other people probably did.

Like I said, she was probably concerned about her siblings and thought that Peter wasn't listening to her and wasn't acting grown-up enough. Frankly, I got a little annoyed with her when she stopped believing in Aslan.

Same here.

and why should this get locked? Im sure im not the only one who found Susan a little bit annoying. She never really yelled at Peter like that in the book

Because to me, it sounds like you're griping that Susan wasn't portrayed faithfully and such.

You seem to be the only person who thinks so.

Plus, your getting us off the topic.

LOL, I agree, but I think that she loosened up in the end which was nice.... :D Peter was kind of screwed up though. He was always acting like a hero instead of a big brother... Then they tried to fix it which screwed it up even more!

I think she was a little harsh and miss know it all earlier in the movie. But later in the film she seemed to grow out of it. My favorite is still Peter.

I loved all of them in the film. Only Edmund after he got redeemed. And, no, The Protagonist, I wasn't getting off topic. I'm saying what I thought of Susan, and I liked how she was in the film. Maybe she won't be so "annoying" in the next film. If you don't like her, then don't listen to her parts in the film. Mute it when she's talking. I'd never do that 'cause I love Susan. (only her character, don't misinterpret that)

What AoA said, I mean if my older brother lost my younger sister in a raging river in a foreign land I'd yell at him too! Dude, if my older brother even let my sister get hit by a car I'd yell at him. I didn't find her annoiying, I found the character portayed very well, because as an older sister, thats what I would have done in best intrest for her family. She didn't want to go in because she followed the rules, her mother had put an enourmous weight on Susan and Peter's shoulders by putting them in charge so Susan took over the motherly role, but if she didn't get her siblings back from a magical land they found in a wardrobe they'd have to tell their mother. Just think about it. If you were put in charge of your younger brother and sister...one who didn't like you and the other thought they found a magical land...what would you do? Then just to find out that the magical land in the wardrobe is REAL and now one of your siblings is off with a witch in this land...I'd be pretty frusterated to. Not to mention her brothers getting in a war...when there was already a war at home. Its WWII in London...things were scary. You HAD to be logical in order to survive...and then a war in a magical world in a wardrobe...thats not reality! Does that seem like reality? As an older sister I would have been very much like Susan...obeying the rules, trying to think logically and keep all of my siblings safe. She is only suppost to be 12 in the movie...I think it is very realistic and not a tad bit annoying.

Yay, someone who agrees with me. I hadn't even thought about how much responsibility Susan and Peter had. Frankly, I think that Peter wasn't too sure about how to shoulder that, and Susan was kind of taking over in that respect. Not a bit annoying.

I agree with you Aravis (on that opinion you made on the first page), but unfortunately it appears that Susan never really accepts Narnia until she sees Aslan and when everybody else wants to stay and fight Jadis. In the books she comes to accept the reality of Narnia much earlier. This kind of left a gaping emotional hole in the scene where Susan and Lucy are crying over Aslan's body, for me at least. She recovers pretty well after that, but it seems like she has already started to forget Narnia before she has even discovered most of it instead of the way it's done in the books.

I never noticed that, but it's been a few months since I've read the books. (actually, all the kids reactions to Aslan could have been a bit more developed) I wonder if they'll keep in (PC) how Susan is progressing to her stage in TLB. I sure hope so.
