We all know what Christmas is all about, the salvation and mercy made available by Christ's birth and the events later in his life, but part of Christmas is sharing with others! So what did you get for Christmas???

I got:
Ben-Hur 50th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Editon (SQWWWEEEEEE!!!!)
about 10 pairs of Mickey Mouse socks
a Mickey Mouse wall calender
A Mickey Mouse personal Calender
A Mickey Mouse Mouse mug
11 German Mickey Mouse (or rather Micky Maus) comic books
A Mickey Mouse 'Hug Mugs' hot cocoa gift set.
A pair of new jeans (yay!!!!)
City boots
A mixed tape
Uber cool bookmarks
A MP3 player
a coffee table book about the making of 'The Wizard of Oz'
a Lion plushie
and from my best friend Sir Tom:
Rhindon (best. gift. ever.)
and Sergeant York! :D

Certainly not that much. lol. Most of what I received was practical or something I needed:

Picture frame collage (cheaper than buying a bunch of individual frames, not to mention it saves on time AND nails!)
Anne of Green Gables dvd: my old one finally kicked the bucket. :(
Black dress socks: too long to explain why I needed these.
Heavy duty outdoor work jacket: I didn't have any appropriate coat or jacket to work outside with animals in the winter time.

Non-essentials that I received:
A Painted Pony statue; I love these figurines! But they're so expensive. I got the "Appy Holidays" statue (will post a picture soon)
A Mississippi State pillow pet. It's so cute!
iTunes gift card
A metal cross
A cross necklace; though the chain broke on the necklace, I can get a new chain (not from my parents)
Hand-embroidered pillowcases from my grandmother
Money gift from my other grandma
Also something from my sister, but since she gave me both my b-day gift and Christmas gift at the same time, I don't know which one was for christmas. haha.

Just to make a random note here: the last few years, I've felt less and less like asking for things that I know I'll never use. My parents don't make very much, so I make sure to ask for things I need and/or will definitely use. Except for things like the figurine and iTunes gift card, all of what I got is practical. Although I should have asked for some Christmas decor...I have almost nothing like that. ;)

Cool! :D I feel the same way, Christmas is less "gimme!!!" and more about just being with family and remembering the Christ Child. I only asked for the Ben-Hur stuff, so I'm thankful they thought so much of me :D. wait until after christmas and you'll find cheap Christmas stuff, especially if you don't have a lot of room (a dorm for example) a string of lights and a small tree will do, and that you can get under 50 bucks (under 20 if you get a really small tree).

I have a 3 or 4 ft tree...torn between getting a new one and keeping it, partly because it'd be easier to store than a bigger tree, but then part of the lights don't work. I'm thinking of keeping the small tree since I probably won't be in my apartment next year for christmas very long. No sense in getting a big tree that I'll only see for two weeks. I've wanted to get a Charlie Brown tree. ;)

I love everything I got for Christmas this year. Christmas is so fun! However I must say that this year I think I was more excited about giving my parents the presents I bought for them (with my own money) and waking up early on Christmas to make them breakfast.:D

Anyway, this is what I got:

Stocking:

Candy
Christmasy socks
an Adventures in Odyssey audiobook disk for when I'm doing chores
Gum

From my parents:

Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End soundtrack (which I am currently listening to :D)
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader soundtrack
2 How to Train your Dragon shorts called "Gift of a Nightfury" and "Book of Dragons"
Megamind
2 pairs of sweatpants
a Christmas sweater
3 pairs of fuzzy socks
A VERY special ornament that has a picture of me and our sponser girl from Honduras from when we met this summer on a mission trip.:D
a Snow Leopard calender

From my various relatives:

100 dollars (from my Grandma) half of which I saved
a fuzzy purple robe with hot chocolate cups on it
a Santa bag
an M&M fan (the handheld kind you take with you to the beach
a Kitten calender
The 4 How to Train your Dragon books I didn't have: How to be a Pirate
How to Speak Dragonese
How to Twist a Dragon's Tail
A Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons
An Archery quiver.
10 dollars
a 25 dollar visa gift card
a 10 dollar Barnes and Noble gift card (from my younger cousin)
a kitten planner
and a Viking-ish necklace that has a shield and two swords crossed in front of it.

And I am wearing one of my new pairs of sweatpants, my new necklace, one pair of my new fuzzy socks and my fluffy robe and like I said I am also listening to my new POTC soundtrack.:D

I got a partridge in a pear tree, with a note that said, "To Be Continued"...
Haha! For one of my dad's gifts to my mom, he wrote a succession of cards. In addition to the message, they each had a list of three things, like "12 movie nights", "11 date nights", "10 mom's day offs", etc. It took her until #5 for her to realize that it was supposed to be like the 12 days of Christmas. :D

Right now, I'm wearing a t-shirt which I got. It has an outline picture of the TARDIS, and says "The angels have the phonebox". ^_^ My sister also has one. We got lots of Doctor Who-related things this year! But I won't say what, because she might want to get on and post them herself. xD

In my stocking, I got:

-A roll of tape (a good thing, considering that I used up all of mine wrapping presents. xD)
-An all natural, gluten free, sugar free chocolate bar
-A necklace with a panda charm, contained in a fuzzy panda-shaped box thingy which I don't know how to describe.
-Pixar stamps!
-A box of gilded notecards
-In my family, we have a tradition that we always get some special kind of coin in our Christmas stockings. This year, my siblings and I each got a Canadian coin, and two wheat pennies printed about 50 years ago.

I got:

-Doctor Who series 6 *squee*
-Doctor Who series 5 soundtrack
-Angels have the Phonebox t-shirt
-A comprehensive, critical guide to Doctor Who series 5

-2 Barnes and Noble gift cards

-"Blue Moo: 70 Jukebox Hits from Way Back Never". Yes, I got kid's music for Christmas. :D It's extremely clever though. And the illustrations in the accompanying book are to die for...

-"Thank you, God, for Mommy!", a Christian board book with adorable panda illustrations. ^.^ (I asked for it. Yes, I am a teenager. No, I don't care.)

-A book of complicated dot-to-dots

-"When Patty Went to College", an very old book which my mom got used. It is the sequel to another book, which was her grandmothers.

-"The House at Pooh Corner", the second Winnie the Pooh book.

-"The Story of the Treasure Seekers", by Edith Nesbit, one of C.S. Lewis' favorite children's authors.

-"The Healer's Apprentice", by Melanie Dickerson, a book which I checked out from the library a while ago and really like.

-I got a really special gift from our own dear GG. :) It's a locket, and inside is a strip of paper that reads, "A friend cares at all times, but a brother is born for adversity". She also gave me some red, green, and blue candy canes, because she remembered me telling her a story about having one when I was little.

-My sister gave me free coupon thingies, which she designed herself, for a GIMP tutorial. The disclaimer at the bottom reads: "Transaction is void when either party is irritable, excessively hormonal, disagreeable in any way, or otherwise predisposed to be uncooperative, as determined by mutual agreement upon existing circumstances." xP She is so clever...

-My little sister and brother gave me really neat animal stickers. When you shift the sticker, the image changes.

-I also got a pretty, black iridescent pearl bracelet.

I think that's it. :D

I remember doing coupons for my parents one year...pretty sure they never used them though. lol.

And I pretty much wiped out my entire $25 iTunes gift card in under 20 minutes. Before you say a WORD though, I had a lot of songs/music I'd been wanting for a while. My mom was rather stunned, but I made sure to stress that I had bought 2 albums, and a bunch of individual songs, which get ridiculously expensive sometimes.

I got:

Stocking:

Candy
A really stupid Kermit the Frog ski hat. it's so stupid it circles back into being awesome.

From other relatives, I got about 50 dollars worth of Barnes and Noble money, 20 to Target, and Ten to Wal Mart, so that's cool. I'll get more tomorrow, but I'm perfectly happy now.

Money. Fight Club. Beastly. Beetlejuice. Rango. Inception. The Green Mile. Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Cookware. Coffee maker. yup. That's it. I bought more presents than I've received. Then again, I've still got Christmas with my friends when I get back to college. lol.

Yay! Of course you know I have one of those, you should show me yours. ;)

Ooh, I know what you're talking about though, I've seen them.

Ookay, let's see if I can remember what I got or if the sugar has already driven it from my mind. XD

I got several sets of earrings, one normal heart shaped with pearls, one turtles and one OREOS which open up and have hearts inside of them. :p And I got two beeeeautiful friendship bracelets from our very own D and I've been wearing them constantly.

And an EXTREMELY random mix CD from another friend which I also already love. XD

My Family was complaining that more than half the items on my list were CDs. I may see their point now. And I love it. :p

Oh! And my friend got me a Tangled Poster. ^_^

Awesome, GG! I'm so happy that you got Owl City CDs. I take it that you've given up on not liking them. :D

The t-shirt is this one.

Les Miserables Tenth Anniversary Concert on DVD...

Congrats-- that's an amazing video!

I got ...
to spend a lovely day in worship and in volunteering (with family and friends) at a homeless shelter. And yes my presents (audio/books, DVDs, Wii, baked treats, clothes, etc.) were fun too.
