what music should they have

I think, and expect, that they will get Harry to compose some new music for the film.

I don't really know what kind but it should be really good all the stuff is if it ends up being half as good as LWW it will be great

I agree with ABright5. They should get the same composer back so that it sounds the same. But I don't know, the whole little tune for LWW has really stuck with me (you know, the part in the battle, the part where the Pevensies are coronated, the part where they pop up out of the water after the waterfall melts). So I wouldn't mind if that was made the sort of "theme", like Hedwig's Theme is for HP (everyone knows when they hear that tune that it is Harry Potter)

Or like the Fellowship or Hobbit theme for LOTR. I think like Lucy they should stick with a theme for Narnia. The battle song (the tune) was sort of the theme.

I definitely think there should be some kind of harmonizing theme through the movies, as Aravis and Lucy said here...we're familiar with these themes like the Battle/ Aslan's Camp song.

What they normally do in this sort of thing, if they use the same composer, is to write completely new music, but use parts of the theme, so you can link it to the movie.

In LOTR, the "main theme" that people recognise it by isn't the same all the way through the films.
They changed it so it fitted with the mood (couldn't think of a better word) of the films as they progressed, but still kept it very similar, so that each film has it's own songs, but they are all linked.

Aly and AJ should make it! They're great singers! And they make songs that inspires people(me anyway) Like they have asongs about how a bully is just like veryone else-Sticks and Stones and they made a song about family and stuff. Maybe Hilary Duff cause she has a song called "Jericho" like the thing in the bible. In any way, they could make songs even if they're not known as Christian artists.

i kinda agree with ya

No, I think they should stick with those who have made the music. The ones who were on the inspired soundtrack, and those who were on the official soundtrack. The other artists can make inspired songs that will make it on their own cds, not the official ones.

thats part why i said kinda

Hilary duff made a Christian song that would be perfect for the last battle.
"Jericho" what do you guys think? It goes

"The walls will tumble
The walls will tumble
But I'm not gonna cry
My heart won't crumble
My heart won't crumble
If we ever said goodbye"

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO AGREE WITH ME. Just tossin' out ideas here and there.

i know how the song goes even though shes the best singer i dont think they should have anybody like that

I will say this, and only once: just because someone might make or write a Christian song doesn't mean they're a Christian. Britney Spears had a Christian song, yet from her life, you can tell she ain't a Christian. Don't be fooled at appearances. Appearances are deceiving.

I'm not saying that Hilary is a Christian, I just like to toss ideas around and stuff. And I just think it would be a good song anyway. Remember, I'm just a person just tossing ideas around?

That song doesn't really relate to Narnia. Or the Bible anyway. I think the artists who made the music should stay with the project because they projected a Narnian feel.

Thematic connections

A good example of how films are linked thematically is the Star Wars series. While each film has a lot of new music, there is a thematic connection between all the music. The same can be done for the Narnia films. Although they can be hard to pick out at times, there are some very definite themes in the music.
