What would be out of place in Narnia?

  • A trip to the moon
  • Talking Scarecrows
  • Studying Latin with Doctor Cornelius (linguam latínam discere sub Doctóre Cornélió)
  • Cheerful Marshwiggles
  • Lying Centaurs (lying satyrs ok)
  • Archeological digs of the ruined city of the giants
  • Eschalators inside Cair Paravel
  • Scubadiving for Mer-folk
  • Horcruxes (well, maybe she had one)
  • The desert that separates Archenland from Calormen turning people into dust as soon as they touch the sands
  • Cruel kings of Narnian blood
  • An evil sorcerer leading the Calormenes
  • A good sorceress like Glinda

Take your pick, everyone! My vote is for the last one, LOL!

I don't think any thing would be out of place in Narnia, A friend once told me when he thinks of Narnia, He said he thinks of The bibical seen of christ borth and then he said he images Father Christmas right next to it with the big snow man. Kind of what we will begiening to see in peolpes yaerds and so on..

CS.Lewis liked to mix things up in his stroys such has mixing Miths and so on, Tolkien on the other hand like to keep things in there right place and to not mix them up, I hope thins makes since to you.....
 
Nothing technological would ever fit, as even a cursory glance at MN will reveal. Well, maybe a scant few things like growing lamp-posts, but that's about it. And you can't simply go in orbit about a planet, as planets are people. Weird people like scarecrows don't exist. In fact, it's interesting that Lewis never mentioned the Wizard of Oz. Correct me if I'm wrong. How it is that everyone in Narnia speaks English is just as much a mystery as why Ozzish is the same as English, but it must be the case; otherwise, Shasta simply wouldn't be able to communicate with the Archenlanders enough to warn them; for he would have grown up speaking Calormene. And all of this notwithstanding the Arabic origin of Calormenes' names. One would think the Mexicans would enter the world at some point and bring Spanish with them, lol! And a good witch in Narnia? Forget it, they'd never trust her.
 
Or perhaps. When our English friends travel to Narnia, they suddenly pick up the abibilty to speak Narnian without them realising it. But they think they're speaking English, so when they re-told the story to Lewis when they got back they thought they'd spoken English all along!??!
