Why I left, in case you missed it

I received several letters in the mail from some of the members here...and I thought I made it very clear in a post that was written there on the GONE AND AWAY thread. I received a letter today that said " There are tons of rumor flying around the forum as to why you left and none of them are good."

See, that's the kind of bull that no one needs to do. You don't need to speculate or start rumors...and this was one primary reason why I left in addition to a 60 hour workweek, travel, a new boyfriend, and other interests besides Narnia. When something is posted very CLEARLY in the thread GONE AND AWAY and it states reasons as to why I did leave, you don't need to have rumors, right?

I also wrote back to some of the members clearly stating the reasons why I left and I'm surprised they didn't post it. If you have nothing better to do than start rumors or cause them, it's time to find something else to do.

So let's clear this up NOW so I don't get any more people asking me just why I left. How about I just post it here

1.A 60 hour workweek and a new administrative position at the gym I work at

2.Travel to Seattle, Chicago recently, Mexico City ( date has been set for February 16th) and possibly Argentina and Brazil in the next months.

3. A new Catholic pro-life boyfriend

4. New interests other than Narnia

And I don't think I need to reinterate about that thread on 'men and monogamy' and the garbage that was being tossed back and forth in that thread?


So instead of having 'bad rumors' flying around, how about I just set everyone straight NOW? Lack of time, lack of interest. That's about it.

So please, people. Isn't it enough to have drama in your own lives in addition to drama on a forum?

wow...Im really sorry Michelle...I had no idea...like you said I just heard a bad rumour and I felt the need to pm you. Im sooooooo sorry!!! Ok well I wish you the best luck with your new boyfriend and for the work and travel. Again very sorry...........anyways thanks for clearing this out...we're all gonna miss you very much here! :) *hugs*

Who would start a rumor about you? i can understand that u have others interests other then Narnia!! same here but...i still LOVE narnia and i bet u do still do too

No offense to LM or anything, but I think we should just lay off of her. She's just a normal member like the rest of us! I know we all miss her, but she's got a life! (unlike the rest of us.) :) LoL... anyways, hugs for Michelle.
 
Give it a rest everyone. We all love Michelle, but whatever she decides to do with her life is up to her. I hope that one day she will come back and join in with us, but that is up to her. Right now let's respect Michelle's desire and let things drop. Pray for her in anyway you see fit, but, unlike me LOL, she obviously has a life beyone TDL.
 
I didn't do anything, I thought I'd just let Michelle take her own decisions, which apparently was good..

And so Michelle, good luck with everything.. I really hope you'll get SUPER-happy (if you aren't now.. o_O If you are, which I hope, you better STAY that way:p ) and we all miss you!!!!!

But internet isn't the most important thing in the world.. Sometimes I too have to remind myself of it: "Laura, school goes FIRST, THEN TDL.." :rolleyes:

But I do have a life.. Muahaha.. XD

Well, Michelle, in case you ever see this, you know just how MUCH it would please ME to know that you have found a worthy man who will marry you and be what that other guy should have been but chose not to be.

I personally have not noticed the rumors besides what already has been told. And Eveningstar has deleted the topics that were about you because there as and is no need to go on.
I hope you are happy and good luck in your life. of course everybody needs to have something besides the internet. It is fun to join on a board like this, but sometimes real world is there as well.

i personally have not heard any of the rumors. i think for the most part the forum minded their own buissness. I hope that everything goes well for you outside of narniafans.

Ok...I'm a bit on the lost side here. I wasn't aware of rumors flying around the forum. Any threads posted on here about Michelle have been locked by ES pretty quickly...this included threads that turned to be about Michelle in any way. I loved the card and letter I got, but I would never post the contents of something like that on an open forum without permission to do so.

Doesn't mean I don't love ya Michelle, you know I do...I didn't know there was a nasty rumor flying around. Glad you cleared it up. Hope things go well on your trip(s). I'll be sending you another card soon.
 
I have been on and off for several months without posting much,and I did catch a few of those rumors,yes...but I never really got to know LifeMaiden very much,so...
 
Here's the thing. People are gonna be people...if they insist on talking and spreading rumors after what she originally posted, then they're gonna do that. The only thing that will stop it on the open forum are the mods and EveningStar was great at it! Props to him for it. People quickly got that message and moved on. If they didn't listen to what Michelle had to say in the gone and away thread they the people spreading the rumors weren't gonna listen to anyone else either...not that I heard of any myself. The mods were great and took care of it. End of story.

Michelle told me she was planning on coming back and I can't wait! It would br great to gab again. Hopefully people will be kind and loving to one another. That's one thing that has made TDL the wonderful place it is. People are gonna be people and have issues and problems...it's just part of the world and the way it works. We just need to handle things in a loving way when they do come up. I think it's easy for us on the internet to forget that we are all real human beings and that everyone comes on with their own opinions, culture, good points, faults (and we ALL have them), and their own baggage. No one should be "casting stones" at anyone.

We don't need to further the gossip or bring it up again. It's done. Many of us love Michelle and a lot of us have found tons of great friends on here. Let's maintain those friendships and further them. Not break them apart. We've got a great blessing in TDL...let's not spoil it.
 
Good Luck with your awesome catch of a boyfriend Michelle! Also I was not aware that there were any rumors going on about you, I too haven't been on much lately I have things outside of this forum...fancy that! As I'm sure everyone on here does. So God Bless, good luck on your travels and all that rot! We'll miss you when you aren't around. :D
