X-Files Anyone???

yeah I would have to say that I enjoy a good "government conspiracy theory" type of show and the x-files has one of the best storylines among its genre!
 
I love X Files! But when it was originally airing, I moved out of the country during its run, and so I missed all the episodes without Mulder, which I guess included Skully's baby?

I can't wait for the movie, too! Right now every couple of months I rent a DVD or two of X-Files episodes and am going through them in order. I love them.
 
Same here Inky. I never followed it when it was on air but I have seen seasons 1 till 4 and want to see the others. I like the show! Mulder and Skully are a perfect team. My friend is a huge x-files fan and she is so happy I'm liking it too.
 
Well apparently Scully had two children? Both who were half alien. One was a girl, who Scully didn't even know existed....I'm really confused about that. But she also had a boy, William, that was also half alien, that some guy that was the victim of alien torture injected the kid with some sort of something, and made him completly human. She then had to give him up for adoption so that no one would find him, or try to do tests on him, etc. So that's about all I know about her kids.

Does anyone else find Mulder incredible sexy? I might be the only one, but, I find his passion for "finding the truth", even though everyone else is against him, to be really attractive. He's not too bad lookin either :p

Yeah,I knew of the girl,Emily,
but I was a little confused on the boy,William.

Yeah,the girl was when she was
abducted from Skyline Mountain.
She never shown any signs of pregnancy.
But if you remember the episode
where she was abducted,
at the end it showed a tube,
looking as if it was pumping something into her stomach
and she looked pregnant.
Well that was season 2 I think,
and at that time,Gillian Anderson,who plays Scully,
really was pregnant with her daughter Piper,
who she hid from the world for like 2 years.

What they did was play that into the storyline,
when you saw her stomach,
and later say that was them taking all
the embryos(or whatever)from her
so she can never have children.
Which also Scully's character in season 5
was said that she couldnt give birth.

I cant believe they actually
managed to keep it a secret for so long!
That was one of the main things
Chris Carter wanted to do,
was to not have anything get out about the movie.
We know about it,
but we dont know what its about.
Not even the trailer gives you
that much detail of the story line.
 
OK, so I do remember when Scully was abducted, her tummy did look pregnant there in the alien lab. So you're saying sometime down the road, they discover a child which turns out to be Scully's daughter from that weird abduction? A half alien child? I missed out on that, totally.

Yup. At first she thinks that her sister Melissa secretly had a child before she died...then Scully finds out that its actually her kid.
 
Oh, wow -- that's a lot of seasons. Weren't there 9? When does the movie come out? I am dying to see it, but I read a blurb about it, and it sounded -- odd -- as if Mulder were the religious one and Scully the one who believed The Truth is Out There. But maybe I misunderstood it.
 
Actually, I have no idea what the actual plot of the x-files movie is, lol. But in all honestly I dont really care...im gonna go see it no matter what its about :p
 
Me too, of course! Did you see the movie they made of the X-Files when Duchovny was still in the TV series? It was pretty good, but I guess only for X-Files fans, because it didn't do that well at the box office.

What is your favorite episode?

Of the ones I have seen, there is an episode called "Jose Chung's From Outer Space." It is about a science fiction writer who researches an X-File, and tells the story from various perspectives. It is very hilarious, and if I am not mistaken it aired for the first time on Halloween.

There were 9 seasons,
and in the US the movie comes out on July 25th.
I'm not sure about the whole religious part,
but I do know that in the final seasons,
when a lot of bad things were happening to Mulder
and he wasnt in like,half the seasons,
thats when they made Scully into a believe
and her new partner was the skeptical one.

Well the story behind the movies
is really difficult to explain.
The movie came out between seasons 5 and 6.
Chris Carter(creator of the show),
said that they would do a movie for the whole cliff hanger
between 5 and 6 that summer.
Fox network said no,if the movie does well,
we'll quit the show and just make movies.
Everyone was under the impression season 7 would be the last.
They ended up making 2 more seasons
and there was a big lawsuit Chris had against Fox.
It final went through and was solved in 2007
and he won.His idea now is that hopefully,
if the movie does well,he'll bring back the show.

With a huge fan base it has,
he's smart to play it out like this I think.
 
Oh, wow, that would be groovy. I had no idea. I just thought when Mulder left, the show fell apart, and so they stopped maing them. I mean, when David Duchovny left. How did they explain Mulder's abscence on the show, and Scully's suddenly not being the skeptical one?
