Hey! I know i've been gone for a while but could everyone who reads this do me a favor???????? Mattel has made these new dolls called Monster high dolls. And i've become fascinated with them. Mattel is having this voting thing going on, And a lot of people on my new forum really like this spider girl. But this lame and stupid doll name "Scarah Screams" :mad: is really plain and boring and she's got the most votes. The voting thing is like this.
The doll that has the most votes gets to be stores. And their all great but the spider girl is the best. Cause she's got 6 arms!!!! But she's got barley ANY votes. So I know this post isn't about "Narnia" but could you all PLEEEEEEEEASE do me this favor???? pretty please????

Um, any thread/topic like this belongs either in The Lamp-post or The Duffers. I'm alerting a mod to move this thread to its more appropriate subforum. And just on a helpful note, it's a good idea to double check where threads go before posting. The FAQ may also have some helpful tips on creating new threads.
 
UM, c'mon! Can I please just say something? Will you help me out? Will you not be a party pooper? Go ahead and ban me for this. But I don't care. I was just trying to get help from a big forum. I can get help somewhere else I don't care:P

You don't need to get defensive, I'm sure AK was only trying to help. She is right too, the thread would be more appropriate in Dufferland or Lamppost. And if you make a big deal out of something people will be less inclined to help you.
 
Mozart and AK are right, Cherrysoda. Nobody's trying to stomp on your request, it's just a question of tidiness and propriety. It's not like you "did something wrong", it's just that the whole forum works better if things are in proper places (kind of like your kitchen.) Here, I'll move the thread to the Lamp Post forum, where it'll likely get more attention anyway.

Yes, and putting something like "bug off" in your first post doesn't help the situation. Nobody gets banned for accidentally sticking a thread in the wrong place; heck, if they did, I'd have been banned a long time ago when I was a brand new member! ;) Just try to chill out, k?

If I was on a forum who had members who DIDN'T try to help new members out, I think I'd be worried. Most people on here are like me in this regard, so please don't get your undies in a knot over something that is no big deal. Besides that, I have no earthly idea about what your thread is over, so I'm bowing out of it now since any other post I make would be spam. ;)
 
There. I voted for your doll. But next time try to ask for help with a more friendly attitude. You'll get a better response that way. Try it. Edit your first and second post with a nicer tone and you'll see.

Fine, but I do that because on my new forum people squash what I say sometimes. Guess it's kind of a habit to do that. Thanks you for helping me out.
I know it's a silly request. But I am really excited about it:D
 
A bit of sad news. Elliot Handler, the founder of Mattel, died on July 23 at age 95. His "Barbie" and "Ken" dolls were named after his children Barbara and Kenneth. Barbara Handler Segal survives him but Kenneth died in 1994 of a brain tumor.

How terribly sad! Makes me rather curious what Mattel will be like after their founder is gone. Didn't they get rid of Matty Mattel on the box bottoms years ago?

It wasn't a silly request. And I know that people are rude in other forums. But here people are really nice, really.

I hope your doll won but I don't know. She was in second place when I voted but she was pretty far behind though.
 
I do not know if the doll won or not. However, the contest is over, so I am locking the thread.
