okay here's what you do. you tell us who your favorite fantisy charectar is in a kind of RP way.
name:
age:
looks:
bio and why you like them:
book or movie they're from:

mine.
name: shiara
age:16
book: talking to dragons. book 4 in the enchanted forest chronicles
looks: really curly red hair. green eyes. short for her age
bio and why I like her: Shiara is a fire-witch and has sort of anger issues. She doesn't like being told what to do or be polite in any way. I like 'cause she's strong willed and although she's angry on the outside she is very kind to her friends.

Well, if he could be plucked out of his sci-fi setting, I like a character named Jame Retief, created by an author named Keith Laumer. Laumer had both military and diplomatic-corps experience, and his hero Retief was a combination James Bond and Han Solo who undertook missions to thwart evil space aliens when diplomacy _wasn't_ enough.

Retief, in a fantasy world, would be able to handle medieval-type tools and weapons very effectively (this ability was shown in the stories about him); he would have an outstanding ability to learn new languages as needed; and his experience with extraterrestrials would prevent him from being overly intimidated by fantasy monsters. Where other characters wavered and hesitated, he would be quick to take daring actions. Not stupid actions, though; he was able to make friends and conduct negotiations as well as kick butt.

name: Aérwynn

age: 16

looks: Long, curlish brown hair, and pale skin, brown eyes.

bio and why you like them: Of course, as making up the charatcer and name myself, Aérwynn is actually the main charatcer in my Novel that I have not written in for months. :p But, she's an Archer, Swordmaster, Rider, Adventurer and she writes Poetry! :D so yeah..thats alot like me..and why would I not like her then?

book or movie they're from: Nowhere.

There are a ton of characters i love, but i'll only name one.
name:Denae
age:young,not sure.:)
looks:not sure.:)
bio and why you like them:She is self-sacrificing and kind.
book or movie they're from:"Giver of Roses" book by Kathleen Morgan

name:Ricki
age:13 I think
looks:I have no idea.
bio and why you like them: 'Cause she's got this really pretty horsie...
book or movie they're from:the Diablo series by Gabi Adam.

okay well I have many, but I'll type one of the best ones that isn't well-known (nothing from Harry Potter or Narnia, in other words :p)

name: Princess Eilonwy

age: about 11 in the first book, but gets older, and I think in the last book she is in her late teens.

looks: very long red-gold hair and blue eyes

bio and why you like them: Eilonwy is an enchantress in Prydain, and she's a strong-willed little girl when she helps escape with Taran from her Aunt's castle. She's funny and always says odd things, and carries a bauble, which is basically a gold ball of light. She's very likeable.

book or movie they're from: The Chronicles of Prydain series by Lloyd Alexander -- if you've never read them, you REALLY should, they are awesome books, just nearly on the level of Narnia. I read them in the 6th grade, and even though they're below my reading level now, I still love them.

Okay here is mine but he is generally well known so you probably do not need me to post a bio but I will any ways:D .
Sherlock Holmes
Tall Britisher who has captured the hearts of millions.
Astute Detective whose work was Chronicled by his best friend Doctor Watson. He is probably the Best known fictional detective in the world.
The Character was developed by Sir Aurther Conan Doyle

Since this thread isn't overcrowded, let me add another great favorite of mine: Victor Hugo's Jean Valjean, the hero of "Les Miserables." I've heard that Hugo was an atheist; and yet his character of Jean Valjean does a strikingly good job of embodying a Christian message. At first, Valjean is himself in need of forgiveness and redemption; but then, having had this need met by a Christlike bishop, he begins to display Christlike conduct in his turn.

It has been discussed elsewhere that everything should not have to be about romantic love. It is part of the greatness of Jean Valjean as a literary hero that (once redeemed from his bitterness) he possesses all the noble character qualities that any woman with sense could ever want in a husband...but he is denied the chance to enjoy romantic love, as his potential love-interest Fantine dies...and yet he goes on doing good to others instead of just feeling sorry for himself.

As a game character, Valjean would have enormous physical strength--often surprising other people because he's over 40 years old. He would possess quickwitted cunning, good survival skills, even some thieving ability; but he would be hesitant to steal (after what he experienced in the first half of the book), and extremely reluctant to do violence to anyone.

Raistlin

Age: 20s -30s

Raistlin is thin, sickly with white hair and his eyes are hour glass shaped.

He is a red robed mage (neutral) who later becomes a black robed mage (evil) and is one of, if not the most powerful wizard to ever live. He appears in the Dragonlance series written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.

I guess I like him because he nearly always does good to those who are the dregs of society. He is very sick and his use of magic makes him even weaker. He appears to be an underdog, but in reality is so powerful against all odds.

name: Ivey Elisabeth Walker
age: ?
looks: wavey red hair, gray eyes, really pretty
bio and why you like them: b/c she always knows what to say, and she is really cool. She's also blind, but she can do just about anything that seeing people can do.
book or movie they're from: The Village by M. Night Shayamalen

I've got quite a few...here goes

Name: Erik
Age: differing, I'd guess around 35 in the movie 50 in the book
Looks: again, differing. In the film he has black hair, greenish eyes, and a half-scarred face. In the book he looks like an emaciated person with a skull for a head
Bio and why you like them: Erik is otherwise known as the Phantom of the Opera. He's one of the most complex characters I've ever read about, which may explain my 'attraction' towards him. He's very sad, can be wry or witty, and almost always knows what to say.
Book or Movie they're from: Erik is from the film and novel Phantom of the Opera.

Name: Beyal
Age: About 500 years old
Looks: Black hair, grey eyes, pointed ears. He's an elf
Bio and why you like them: Beyal is an Elf (i'm rehashing) who is quite entertaining. Sometimes. But you don't want to be on his bad side.
Book or Movie they're from: Mah Story (a book I'm in the process of writing)
