Rangers of the Dancing Lawn III

ooc: is there a plan as to what happens next?
ooc: Umm... I think we have the Cleo the goat herd chew on her clothes. :p
"I see these Pirates have cast you under their spell," she growled. "I'm done fighting for today so if you would please remove your sword I have a job to get to. It was a mistake for me to engage in a fight with that pirate, time has been wasted and we need to flee from this place!"
"Listen, chubb, I'm a free-lancer, I follow the gold. Now, your kindly Rangers have hired me... got it? Now, drop your sword and you will report to Elendil."

Migle walked away from Sabriel, laving her with the Ranger guards, and went over to Fish who was still cleaning her wounds.
"I'm sorry about Sabriel..." she knelt down and handed Fish some more gauze, " She's not a very welcoming person, as you can see..."

Sabriel clenched her teeth. "I'll drop my sword as soon as you let me speak to Elindil!" she said.

Fish had wrapped her hand in a bandage, and the blood had mostly stopped flowing. She tried to wrap a bandage around her stomach, but felt that it just hindered her mobility, so she took it off again. Standing up, she cleaned her sword and pulled her dagger out of the tree it had been stuck in.

"Arr...Machia, ye ready to go, mate?" Fish asked, coming up to him. "Don't pack too much, we have to carry everythin'..." Machia nodded and tied up the bags.

Together they walked over to where Migle was standing. "Mate, not that I'm trying to talk ye out o' comin', but ye know that if ye come with us, it'll be a long time before ye see any o' yer fellow rangers again, right?" Fish asked.

Glancing at Sabriel, Migle nodded. "Yeah, I know. Are we leaving already?" Fish nodded.

She stared angrily in Sabriels direction before looking at Elendil; her face softened.
"I'll do what I need to do for Narnia, and for my Queen. Let me just grab my things." She went to her tent and grabbed her things.
"Be safe everyone." She spoke to her Rangers.

aww Bye Liz! It truly was fun! It took my back to the old days where one could cut the tension between our characters with a knife. It was awsome!

We just move our camp elsewhere and make up whatever we want as we go along. We are in serious need of some bad guys:rolleyes:

EDIT: What fish said.

ooc: Aye your right... Oh yes, by the way, Twilight said she could probably RPG a bit for Saruman whenever Jeff's not around, and I think she'll probably start a new Isengarders thread sometime, since the old one's gone... So maybe some new people will join that as villains... :D

I have nothing to post right now, since I didn't even know we were on an island... :o:D

ooc-We were on an island?

It was three hours until sunrise according to a small ring dial Sabriel had. After the fiasco that occured a couple of hours before she began to feel embarrassed for the part she played in it.

"Elindil," Sabriel whispered. She lightly touched a sleeping Elindil on the arm to which caused her to react.

"What? Who's there?" Elendil said as she took out her sword.

"Shhh! It's me!" Sabriel said. "She took out her ring dial and map and showed it to Elendil. "We have three hours to move as fast as we can. I propose go into hiding in the Western Woods." she said.

"What? Are you out of your mind? That's near the..." Elendil said before being interrupted.

"...Near the Lamp-post in Lantern Waste. Yes, I know. But you know very well that the enemy won't go near there. Which is why I propose we settle there until we can gather a decent amout of people and creatures to form an army," Sabriel said.

"Machia, Migle!" Fish called out. "Arr...come on, mates. If we leave now, we can git to the mainland before sunrise... With all o' Saruman's cronies runnin' around, it'd be foolish to try and cross the ocean in daylight..." Using her good left hand, Fish tightened the rope of her pack and slung it over her shoulder.

Migle came out of the makeshift tent that had been propped to house the supplies. She, too, had a pack over her shoulder. "Uh...Arr...Fish, I be ready to go...uh...matey..." she giggled.

After a moment Machia also appeared. His pack contained the medical supplies, though he had also thrown as many apples as would fit into it also.

Fish and Machia each said a quick good-bye to Elindil as Migle went around to all of her ranger friends. Finally, they were ready. Wordlessly, they walked westward and disappeared into the forest...

"Lantern Waste..." Elindil mussed. "There is always the chance of the hauntings...but..." A small smile crept onto her face. "I've always wanted to see a ghost. And we'll pass the grave of my brother on the way..." A tear glistened in one eye for a moment. "We'll go there then."

ooc: where did everybody go? :(

ooc- I don't know. It's just after Christmas, so I'm sure a lot of people are still a bit busy.

ic- Migle walked along side the pirates in silence. Migle knew her way through the forest quite well, but didn't want to be the one to start up a conversation just incase she became distracted and got everyone lost.

"It's been a day since we left our old camp," Sabriel whispered to a girl who was sitting in front of her on her horse.

"When we'll we get there?" the little girl asked.

"In about four days. But you must be quiet or those ugly orcs could hear us from wherever they are. Can you do that for me?" Sabriel tenderly asked the girl.

"Yes," she whispered in Sabriel's ear.

Elindil who was a couple of feet behind on her horsee caught up to Sabriel's. "It keeps getting darker and darker as we travel," she whispered.

"I know! The only place where there is light is in Lantern waste. Oh so they tell me," Sabriel whispered to Elindil.

Elindil stopped her horse, "You mean to tell me you didn't scout the Western woods!"

"Elindil, I could only get as far as I could! I had to get back to the camp!"

"Shhhhh" the girl in front of Sabriel said.

Both Elindil and Sabriel lowered their voices. "Well then, how far did you go?" Elindil asked.

"About 3 days away from camp and two days away from the Western Woods," Sabriel answered. "Granted, it kept getting lonelier and lonelier as I traveled there...I felt as if there were eyes looking at me as I passed by," she said.

"Were they the enemy's eyes?" Elindil asked.

"No. These were eyes whose souls were in hiding."

ooc: yeah I keep forgetting that. :p

ic: "Souls?" Elindil asked, "How can you feel a soul watching you? A should be in heaven...or hell..." Suddenly she turned very serious. "Unless they're cursed to walk this earth after death..." She shuddered thinking of her brother.

Eruedraith closed his eyes as he soaked in the calm forest atmosphere. The green woods brought back many memories. Memories of times of happiness, of times when he cared of little else, of his home, and of her. Softly he started singing a melody, the song that she had taught him so long ago. A solitary tear rolled down his cheek, as the grief poured into his soul. He would never forget what happened that day so long ago.
