Hobbits

I love Narnia but not as much as I love LOTR :D Since I read the books I loved LOTR and after the movies even more! My favorite LOTR item? My dear and sweet Frodo action figure. The first one I got and he has such a sweet face (although he lost some painting on his nose and hands and feet and I must fix him all the time) I take him with me everywhere I go. I don't think he always agrees but he has no other choice :p My most valuable item is my porcelain Frodo doll I bought early last year. I love it!!!! And I ordered the four hobbits cardboard (the same you have) and it prolly will arrive tomorrow or the day after.
 
*sigh* lotr is wonderful. i also have been collecting for several years though my collection has not grown at the rate that Vanessa's has. i only have a few things. two posters, my keychain, frodo bookmark, a couple of books.... and teh like. i just havent had lots of money for ebaying and such and in sixth grade when everything was for sell, i didnt think about buying it. :rolleyes: unfortunitly...:(
 
On ebay it's still for sell. Just go to ebay and at the search engine type: LOTR (yes, LOTR instead of the full name) and click enter. You will be amazed how much they have for sale. It's even more cheaper than it was back then.
I bought my calenders and bookmarks (this even contains a Grima bookmark) at Borders in NYC and the other calender at a Toronto store. Yesterday is the first time I ordered LOTR stuff since months. At Tolkientown I saw a Merry and Pippin Standee (cardboard) but the shipping costs are ridiculous high.
 
yes, i have been to ebay quite alot. i stare and muchly admire the stuff... but have like no money lol. i have bought last of littlest petshops there. its a good place.:D
 
I look at ebay a lot but hardly for LOTR stuff. I guess because my current place is way too small but my new home can have more stuff :D I can't wait till my brother is going to hang up my posters for me in the living room. I will place them behind glass so it looks more real :D I think this weekend will be perfect ;)
 
The large Frodo poster is already behind glass. The other one was too until a large truck drove by. The glass was broken :eek: Fortunately I won't have much trouble with trucks in my appartment :D
 
And he had all the time to escape but he is still here :eek: So I'm going to buy new glass and put him behind it again. AND TRUCKS WHO TRY TO DESTROY THE GLASS ARE DOOMED FOR LIFE :cool: I'm going to place my Hobbits wheatertop poster behind glass as well. It would look cool :cool:

Well... I hope you like your new hobbit standees. Sadly mine have a few scratches that they got in shipping. :( It seems hard to recieve them in perfect condition. I was going to send them back and get new ones but their product gurantee ran out. Ugh. Oh well! I love them all the same! :D
 
Well... thank you, dearie. :D I shall have to send you a picture of my hobbit room as well. I just can't seem to find the cord to hook my digital camera up to the camera. :( Ha Ha. I hate it when I misplace things. When I get a house of my own I hope I can do that same as what you are doing. :D It would be amazing!!! Well... I'm off to Choir now. Hello dearie!
I'm back! Or atleast for about 10 more minutes. I have to attend a live session with a teacher soon. I do an online school at home. It's very nice. :D He He. It's very nice to have cardboard hobbits. :) It makes you happy everytime you gaze upon them. :D I'm sure your going to love yours. Do you know when they'll be arriving?
 
Prolly tomorrow or the day after. It's from a store in my country itself. The last time I ordered the Frodo standee it arrived only two days later. I'm excited :D
So you're doing an online school? That's great!! And is the teacher talking to you personally or in a virtual classroom?

are you guys saying that without hobbit cardboard standies one cant be a true hobbit lover?:eek:
