the offical Lara Croft/Tomb Raider Club

Not to double post but has anyone here played Uncharted yet? The dude has the exact same moves as Lara!!!!!

I'm not really into playing Tomb Raider clones, especially ones with guys.

Mass Effect has been occupying my time lately, although I've put that aside until the final squadmember and the Hammerhead vehicle becomes available.

Currently I've been playing a lot of Guitar hero and Lego Indiana Jones II. So I haven't really played Tomby or anything like that lately. Athough have any of you played Prince of Persia: Sands of Time becasue that's like a scarier and harder and sword-fighting version of Lara.

Actually, I heard the principle is often the reverse.

Male players prefer female toons because "they're more asthetically pleasing to behold".

And female players identify more with a strong female character.

I personally have no insecurities about playing a female character in a game.

And then there's the "Lara Croft priniciple".
People actually care about what happens to Lara.
When the company did a study on Tomb Raider gameplay, they discovered people actually feel bad when Lara dies.

I don't know if you got it wrong. We were talking about the EW! factor when playing TR clones with dudes in them. I personally don't like it.

I used to laugh at her and in Croft Manor I always used to swan dive off high buildings so that she'd land on her head. Or we used to swim around too long and she'd die.

The graphics on PS2 are sooo rubbish!!
Well, PS3 is HDMI, which is what you need to get display good graphics on a HD TV. I got the ps3 as a Christmas gift, and a month ago I bought a 32 in HD TV. a 1080p 120 gh which is pretty good for graphics.

Anyway, the game is pretty predictable. For the first time playing TR games I haven't needed a walkthrough. So... yeah.

here is how it goes:

- if you're in a dungeon and you see a ledge you can reach, grab it and climb up it, it will take you where you want to go.
- If the only ledge around is too high, there's always a way to climb to it, so walk around until you find it.
- follow the road and you'll get there.
- dead end? jump off the cliff, wall jump, grapple, etc. there's always a way out.
- If you think there should be enemies around the corner or in the next room, there are.
- If it is too quiet, you'll be ambushed.
- If you see an alcove, ledge, or pole high up or in an inaccessible, improbable place, chances are you'll need to get to it and there's always a way there from where you see it.

yeah, I still love the game though.
:D
