Mafia XXVI: Traverses in Telmar

Sad day, I was wanting to change my vote but, alas, I worked all day. Lossy, we mourn your death too.

As too the clues, look really closely, if something looks funny, you might have found the clue.

And I was sitting in chapel when I realized that I should change my vote to save you, Lossiful...but unfortunately, by the time I got out, the voting was over. :( Death by dental floss. I always knew the dentists were involved in the worldwide penguin conspiracy.

Shhh! Don't tell them all my secrets! ;):p jk It's fine.

There's a reason for that floss being there...

Night Two: Victorian Lady is killed!

Due to the remarkable quickness with which our honorable players PMed me, I was fortunate to end this night quickly. Oh, and, Calormenes (you know who you are), please remember I was just taking some precautions with the uh, you-know-what. With your satisfactory response, I expect that none else need be taken.

Victorian Lady was enjoying the trip to Lake Massine as much as anyone else. That night, the party camped in tents along the lake shore. But Toria just wanted to be alone, so she stole out of the tent where a few others were, and sat at the edge of the lake, enjoying its beauty. The moon was shining on the lake, and Toria could see all the gorgeous Telmarine stars above her.

Suddenly, she was grabbed from behind. All three Calormenes had come up behind her while she had been letting her mind drift. "So, you thought that by leaving our tent you could get could get away from us, huh?" snarled the first one. "Not a chance."

The second Calormene lit a match and let it burn for just a second. Then she flung it into the water! It was extinguished immediately. "That's what we're going to do to you," she said, pointing at the match in the water. "Extinguish you."

The third simply whispered, "Prepare to meet your Maker," in Toria's ear. Then the Calormene gave Toria a mighty karate chop to the back of her head, right below the ear (where Judah Ben-Hur killed his assailant), and Toria collapsed, dead. The Calormenes tossed her into the lake, ignoring the "Do not feed the Lake Massine Monster" sign, and went back to their tent to get a good night's rest.

When they woke in the morning, the Traversers could not find Toria, no matter how hard they searched. It was obvious that the Calormenes had killed her. Another day, and another chance for justice. This time they hoped that the vote would be more conclusive.

IT IS NOW DAY; YOU HAVE 84 HOURS TO VOTE.

I see what you did there... ;)

Poor Toria, she should have known better than to wander off by herself... :(

*winces* That was...powerful, Sopespian. Somehow I missed that part of Ben-Hur....

Toria, tell Korkoa and Lossy to share my old ghost stuff with you. I should have left a couple old Chesterton books in there somewhere. That and a blanket to hide under, in case your classmates come after you for your economic views again.

Hahaha. xP That made me laugh.

*feels guilty for laughing during such a dire situation and weeps for Toria instead*

Oh, dear! I missed quite a bit.:p

As relieved as I am at the result of the coin toss, I am also quite sorry for you, Lossy.:( Please accept my sincerest condolences.

And Toria, how sad.:( It might have been wiser to stay in the tent!

I've thought through the options, and I'm going to vote for Gondorgirl.

She has made some vaguely suspicious statements throughout the thread. Maybe it's overkill to think that she actually is one of the mafia, except that she made similar kinds of statements during the last game, when she was a mafia.

I am deeply hurt, D. :( *Goes off to cry in corner*

I won't be vengeful and automatically vote for you though, just to prove that I'm not that kind of person. *Sticks out tongue*

Loverble

*pats* It's nothing personal. I'm sorry. :( But if I have to choose someone to vote for, I want to choose someone who gave me a reason.

GG has been...interesting on this thread. And Loverble's been dead silent. *sighs* *goes off to think in the orange room*

Harder? Nooooo.... *suffers from brain fried by economics*

In regards to Loverble--yeah, she usually is pretty quiet. Mostly because she doesn't get on much; that's what makes her silence pretty hard to decipher. *returns to orange room* I may just wait for the mob verdict on this one....

Where is this orange room?

But I (though a ghostie) think I have to agree with Dear D. GG has been making some interesting comments. She's either a sloppy mafia, or a foolish Telmarine.

As for loverble... her inactivity would seem to support her innocence, especially given how quickly the mafia have acted. Of course, they could have planned out their strategy during the day, or they could be contacting each other through email - my preferred method when Glen and I were the guilty party.

Do they serve continental breakfasts at the hotel, by any chance?

(there's post one of my two post limit...)

Thank you for the kind thoughts, especially those who would have been willing to change their votes for me. :) I really should have gotten on earlier. I've learned that papers are deadly, in more ways than one.

Though floss? What a way to go.
