I disagree. With the exception of the odd numbered films, Nemesis, and Star Trek (2009), the films went much further in story than the series [TOS] ever could. And I thought First Contact was a good "history" film in exploring how Vulcans first came to Earth. Trekkies like that stuff. And I think to a point, it's necessary. But, your opinion. I don't associate myself with anything Star Trek 3 related, or Star Trek 5 related, because they were crappy films.
