Rainy Sunday afternoon

It's raining and thundering! My dog is afraid of the rain, and especially thunder, and has to sit in a bath tub (no water) and shake like a leaf until the thunder stops.

My husband is packing for a business trip, leaving tomorrow, and there is nothing for me to do ... we even watched everything that Tivo had taped for us already. I could go clean up the kitchen ... or see what is happening on the Olympics.

What do you do when it's raining on your day off?
 
When it's raining on my day off, I paint the tool shed because it's too wet for me to wash dishes.
 
When it rains, I like to snuggle up in a blanket, with a good book, and listen to music. And when I was younger, me and my sisters would slide down the stairs with sleeping bags!

LOL - when I worked on dive boats every once in a while a tourist would ask, "What do we do if it rains?" I mean, we're out there to go scuba diving! Of course you have to say, "We'll go under water to keep dry ..."

Oh my goodness! Before my husband and I got married, his girls were home alone with him, and he was busy working, so they were left alone and made a sport of sliding down the stairs like that! He never knew, and he would have had a fit if he had known! Because it's dangerous! They still laugh about it.
 
It's been a stormy afternoon here... and I had a lot of yarn scraps lying around... so I used some to make my loose change jar pretty :)

Wow! you did a great job! Well done!

My husband is out of town now, and I was going to meet a friend after work but she canceled. So I watched a movie on TV, and did a load of laundry ... I should have done something creative like decorating a jar with yarn! Nice job.
