Aslan or Gandalf or Dumbledore?

Very true, Aslan would come into veiw and Gandalf would get the same kind of mirthful look that Lucy gets on her face when she sees Aslan and run to meet him. I would imagine Dumbledore's reaction as being like Trumpkin's when he first met Aslan, but then he may have been just like Gandalf.

I've had this argument like a zillion times...well, the Gandalf/Dumbledore one..... I battle my friend Zach, claiming Gandalf would definitely win, but he begs to differ......*sigh*

I think it would be Aslan>Gandalf>Dumbledore........

Just sayin.

I dont think they would fight,

cas Aslans like Jesus and Jesus preached do unto others as you would have done to you so i dont recon he'd go around starting fights.

Gandalf is the good guy and will only fight bad guys so he wont fight dumbledor cas hes also a good guy and Aslans probebely got his gobsmacked anyway

Dumbledor is the same as Gandalf

So over all they all win cas they dont ever fight so they all servive!!!

Now, let us assume for a moment that in such an instance these characters exist in the same universe. As such Gandalf could not start a fight with Aslan as he is a Maiar. It would be like an Angel deciding to fight God. In Tolkien's legendarium that task would be rserved for the likes of Morgoth, Sauron, and Saruman. For Gandalf to try and "do" something like that, would be to set himself above a greater will, something Gandalf cannot, and will not do .Think about it, when given the choice to take the ring from Frodo he refused as he knew what he would become.

THis leaves us with Dumbledore.

Winner-Aslan.

I guess I already posted on this thread. I still stand by the fact that Aslan is God and that if Gandalf saw Aslan, he would get the same kind of mirthful expression that Lucy gets and probably act the same to. Dumbledore, well I still see him acting the same as Trumpkin when he first met.

As has been previously stated, all three are wholly good, so would have no desire nor reason to fight. If they were to do so, well Gandalf and Dumbledore are not in the same league as Aslan, who is the Son of the Emperor from Over the Sea, therefore God, so Aslan would win hands down.

OK, let's change this up. We know they wouldn't fight, because they're all good. So let's say for this discussion that Aslan isn't our God, that he doesn't correspond to Jesus. He's just the Aslan of Narnia, while Gandalf is the wizard of Middle Earth, and Dumbledore is the headmaster of Hogwarts.

Which one would you rather have as your teacher/mentor?
Which one would you rather have lunch with?
Which one would be the best "best friend"?

Dumbledore
Gandalf
Aslan

In that order cause let's face it...Aslan's a lion. Lunch + me= food :p lol

teacher/mentor - Dumbledore was a great mentor and teacher: so wise, discerning and fair (though I wouldn't want to study wizardry)
lunch - Gandalf, provided he brought fireworks for entertainment
best friend - Aslan; I think it would be lovely if I could have a relationship with him like his friendship with Lucy

Totally agree! I would put them in the same slots, for the same reasons. Well done, Benisse!

FG, Aslan would never eat you! Or maybe like Emeth, once you saw him you would find it better to be eaten by such a beautiful lion than to live and never have seen him! :)
