***************

Amera starred at her reflection in the stream. Her curls of chocolate carressing her shoulders. A tear fell from her almond eyes. She wore a loose tunic jade and leggins of the same color, black knee-high boots, a green-gray cloak blowing gently in the breeze, and her bow, quiver, and two long swords strapped to her back. Where could he be? she screamed inside.

Amera was an elf. She was born in the fair Elven city of Lorien. The daughter of Drel-Anon and Megalyn. She had one brother, long disappered. Growing up, her best friend was Tamae. He and Amera were always playing together. Their favorite things were always archery, horse back riding, and playing tricks on others with simple magic. But, as the years went by, the two became closer and closer, until on day they relized it was no longer an ordinary friendship, but love. Til two days ago when Tamea, without any warning vanished.

Amera trugged back to her tree house. "I must rest. In the morning I will leave to go South to Minas Tirith," she told herself, "But for now I rest." She laid down on her bed roll and quietly fell asleep.
The next morning Amera awoke, refreshed. She quickly grabbed a hand full of dried berries and nuts and ate. She snatched a few supplies that she would need on her exploit and rushed to the stable. There she found Starbeam, her horse. Starbeam was ebony with a white star on her graceful neck. Amera mounted the mare and set off at a fluid trot.

Panedhiel watched Amera closely. She rode the horse with a control and respect for the animal. She had been ordered by Galadriel to watch the maiden to see how she was holding up. Panedhiel's father was Haldir, she was his youngest child, only 274. She sighed at the sight of the sad elf. She walked forward, trying to make as little noise as possible.

Amera turned her head quickly to the right. Something had caught her eye. She got a glimps off what it was. "Who are you?" Slowly a young elf maiden stepped out from behind the great mallorn. Amera halted her mare. "Who are you and why are you following me?" Amera asked with authority. Amera truly was not an elder, but to this young elf she had outlived her by atleast 500 years. The elf maiden squired in Amera's threatening gaze.

Panedhiel stood up trying to show she was not afraid, even though she was.
" No one for you to fear, m'lady." she curtsied. " I am Panedhiel, daughter of Haldir, and I was simply..walking among the trees." she lied, hoping Amera would not notice.

"Do you think I'm a nitwit? Why did you hide from me?" The elf apparently named Panedhiel continued to squirm. "I grow impatient. You're wasting my time."

ooc. there is an odd twist to Pandhiel, shes like Ella in Ella Enchanted, she has to do everything you tel her, but it has to be direct.

" I'm not suppsoed to tell you." she said quickly puttin gher head down

"Find, you are no importance of me!" Amera said with a flick of her wrist. "Niro Lim." The horse tore away. But Amera could feel the presence of the girl tugging on her mind. "Tell me... tell me the truth, who sent you to be my keeper, for I know the reason you hunt me. I do not need your help. Tell Galadriel I am fine. And as to medeling to other's buisiness..." she told Pandhiel through thought.

Panedhiel would not leave it at that. Galadriel had given her specific instructions. Pandhiel was as fast on foot as most horses, she ran behind Amera.
" I'm not leaving you, for I will nor fosake my Queen!" she yelled

Amera knew the girl was chasing her, but she still had the speed of her mare. Quickly she rode on. At last they cleared the trees and were out of the reaches of Lorien. She was now in the realm of Rohan out of the influence of the Elves. But she still quickened her pace. She wanted to make it to atleast Fangorn before nightfall.

Panedhiel knew she would never make it unless she had her horse.
" Shaydess, come to you master and friend." A few seconds later, a black mare trotted up behind her. Panedhiel straddled Shaydess and rode on. She needed to get to Amera, for reasons only she and Galadriel knew.

It grew dark. Amera and Starbeam had just crossed the river Limlight and were on the east edge of Fangorn. She halted the mare and made her "camp" which consited of her bedroll and a small fire. "Tomorrow we will ride to Edoras," Amera spoke gentally to the mare. And they both went to sleep.

T'was then they heard the gallop of hooves. A loud "EEEEEEEKKK!!" and a "YAAAAAAGHHHH!!" woke everyone from sound slumber. A knight clad in green armor atop a huge Friesian horse galloped across the plains, headed straight towards them. He had a lance out, and he was chasing something. It was difficult to see anything more than a small shape. The knight was gaining...He gave the horse a kick and it galloped full-speed. He positioned his lance and...

THE FIGURE DISSAPPEARED!! The knight pulled back on the reins and the horse reared with a whinny. His tremendous hooves came down with a "THUMP!" The knight's quarry had dissappeared into Fangorn.
"Blasted creature." came a muffled grumble from beneath his visored helm. :D

Amera quickly aroke at the noise. "What was that?" she whispered to Starbeam. She looked around, her Elvish eyes looking far into the distance. There she saw a knight. She quietly dosed the fire, grabbed her bed roll, and led Starbeam into the woods out of site of the knight.

He heard the "HISS!" as the fire went out and turned to see something dart into the woods. "it has friends..."he thought, and pulled out his longbow. He dismounted his horse and strung an arrow as he crept into the woods without a sound, and dissappeared...:D

Amera and Starbeam slowly stalked through the outer edges of the forrest, Amera walking so quietly you couldn't hear her step or even breathe. But, she could hear someone behind her...

An arrow whizzed by and an "AAAAAGH!" was heard!! Whatever the knight had been chasing had been right behind Amera! Now it fled, further into the forest with the knight nowhere to be seen.:D

"Uh!" Amera drew in a sharp breathe. She ducked right as the arrow passed. Was the knight following her? No, hardly. No one knew where she was, well atleast no one she knew uf other than Galadriel and the elf who was stalking her.

A treebranch snapped. She heard the slight sound of a bowstring being pulled back...and then a "THWP!" as it was released. A distant "THUMP!" was heard as the arrow hit it's target, deeper into the forest. Then the sound of a sword being drawn from it's sheath...:D

"I don't know what's going on... but then again I don't want to find out what it is," Amera whispered to herself. She quietly mounted Starbeam's back and set off a strong pace, galloping quietly.
