Iced Sugar Cookies
Whisk together throughly:
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoons salt
Beat on medium speed until very fluffy and well blended:
2 1/2 sticks of butter,soften
1 cup of sugar
add and beat until well combined:
1 large egg
1 tablespoon of milk
1/4 teaspoon finely grater lemon zest(optional)
Refrigerate until cold and slightly firm,about 30 min.
Preheat the oven to 375 F
Bake until the cookies are lightly colored on top and
slightly darker at the edges,6 to 9 minutes.
