That Schrodinger bit reminds me of the time when, as a young man, I gave a long ride to a girl hitchhiker and spoke with her about Jesus. She came back with what amounted to the same thing, only in shorter words: that our own minds determine reality. So I said to her, "if I were to imagine that a rhinoceros was standing in the road in front of my car...if I really DID believe that the rhinoceros was there...would my PERCEPTION be enough, all by itself, to cause this car to collide with an ACTUAL rhinoceros? "
The girl gawked and admitted, "I never thought about it that way." Schrodinger must not have thought about it that way either; or maybe he just figured that his word game SOUNDED more profound.
