Hi Sunny,
What is a friend?
According to C.S. Lewis, "Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: What! You too? I thought I was the only one."
When you first invited me to be your friend I went back and read your posts and personal info, but I couldn't get a clear picture from what you had written to know you enough as a person to respond to your invitation. I take accepting a friendship on the forum as a very serious commitment, and try to keep the other person's needs in mind and pray for them. But so far even after rereading your posts up to today, I still do not understand enough about you to know where our points of connection or affinity would lie. So far it doesn't even seem like we post to any of the same threads...
I do see a quite a few differences in preferences and vision, but that is okay since this forum and indeed C.S. Lewis' own legacy was one of wrestling with many different realities with intellectual honesty. But I don't think wrestling is how I want to spend time with friends at this point. So for now, let's just be correspondents in the forum or on member pages, okay?
Thanks for your patience with me,
Linda
