  • Ahh all of the love!!!!
    hehe.

eh. I wish that she just didn't drop off like that.
I hope that they are all alright.
here's the poem we read in class
September rain falls on the house.
In the failing light, the old grandmother
sits in the kitchen with the child
    beside the Little Marvel Stove,
reading the jokes from the almanac,
laughing and talking to hide her tears.

She thinks that her equinoctial tears
and the rain that beats on the roof of the house
were both foretold by the almanac,
but only known to a grandmother.
The iron kettle sings on the stove.
She cuts some bread and says to the child,

It's time for tea now; but the child
is watching the teakettle's small hard tears
dance like mad on the hot black stove,
the way the rain must dance on the house.
    Tidying up, the old grandmother
    hangs up the clever almanac

on its string. Birdlike, the almanac
hovers half open above the child,
    hovers above the old grandmother
and her teacup full of dark brown tears.
She shivers and says she thinks the house
feels chilly, and puts more wood in the stove.

It was to be, says the Marvel Stove.
I know what I know, says the almanac.
With crayons the child draws a rigid house
and a winding pathway. Then the child
puts in a man with buttons like tears
and shows it proudly to the grandmother.

    But secretly, while the grandmother
    busies herself about the stove,
the little moons fall down like tears
from between the pages of the almanac
into the flower bed the child
has carefully placed in the front of the house.

Time to plant tears, says the almanac.
The grandmother sings to the marvelous stove
and the child draws another inscrutable house.
i don't have the poem in front of me but from what i remember they were the end words in the lines

and then the last word of the stanza was the first end word of the next stanza
hmm i'll look for a poem example online
[Ducks and covers back of her neck.]
Noes, Escalation! I'll surely melt with Glove and Gugs. lol.

I just wished that there was something more that I could of done. Anything.
Have you heard from her mother anytime since my last letter?
I had to. I just couldn't let anything happen.
It's helping me get over my failure with Julie.

    I love you too!
i'm actually not sure, because i just copied everything from my english notes, but I can surely ask my english teacher tomorrow after class.
    I think I did alright :D
I know I got two wrong on the "Put in the right order" Section, but my essay was GOLDEN :D:D
Thank you again!! No...My prayer thread is something else. However I need to re-write it because it didnt save and then the server went :(
hey on my banners page (and on the Lust for Purity thread) I made a book cover for my story. do you mind checking it out and telling me what you think? I never made a book cover b4. lol
Haha, that's completely understandable. That Dawn Treader is one hot and confusing tamale.

Ah, I'm looking forward to it! I love the sonnets you write for her.
I do not mean to seem like a nag, I'm just curious, but do you have a guess on when you'll have some time to write some more sonnets, Uncle Joe?
A fashion Designer? How funny, that is my ambition as well! Sort of anyways, I'm leaning more towards costume designing, you know, for plays and movies. Still that's very cool. Yes, Anime influenced my drawing very much, though I am working on more realistic people as well, it's hard though.
I am very glad you liked it. A super Gug to you too
Right, thanks for the warning/reminder, Uncle Joe. I've never heard of that town before. There are so many towns/suburbs in and around the Chicago area it's almost impossible to know what's what.
Ah! I've been in Oak Park before! :D that's cool. I live 2-3 hrs. outside of Chicago, so it's a bit of a journey to school, which is why we didn't get snow where I live, but I saw it snowing on the way out of Chicago on the train. It was unexpected and very pretty.
I was working on the Dr. Who role-play, it sometimes takes a bit of thought as I'm juggling multiple characters there. I'll see what I can do. ;-)
You're very welcome, Uncle Joe. I'm glad you got to get back into hiking today. It's rather windy and cold over here. It even snowed some in the Chicago area as I was on my way home on the train.
