Have a very Happy Hobbit Birthday, Jax!

    Hey! Long time no see!

I was wondering if it would be ok if I posted something political

All I want is some advice as to if people who agree on the subject think it is well written and if they want me to add anything. I'm going to post it on FB and hope it helps people come to some realizations.

The title will attract the people I want to read it, and I will put in big letters in the post that people that disagree should not post but can spectate if interested.

    Thanks!
I got behind in Lectio Divina because of last week's busy-ness, but hope to catch up soon :)
Great Idea to use your blog passages. I will plan on looking at 1 John 5 tomorrow, then!
What would you think of starting a once a week lectio divina thread (a pilot for say a month or 6 weeks)? You could pick the passage for the week and whoever wants can share ... I was exposed to that discipline when I was at a retreat this summer, but feel like I need accountability or guidance to keep going.
Thanks for what you said about my picture! It really made my day a whole lot brighter! And I looked at your profile and noticed that you joined on my birthday! Except on that day, when I turned 9, I didn't even really know anything about Narnia! LOL!
Yes. Doctor Who took a hiatus in 1989 after the 7th Doctor. Then in 1996 it took another break after the failed (Americanized, complete with a car chase, lol) Doctor Who movie with the 8th Doctor. The reason why the 2005 and later series haveexploded into a global phenomenon is because the creators of those modern series were kid fans themselves! So what it means is that the new series were really made with love and very carefully in order to maintain continuity and the basic elements that fans were used to.

Yes, DVDs are the main source of the classics. But I do know that Amazon Video has lot's of classics you can watch ( for a small price). Netflix and iTunes have all the modern DW so I'm sure they would have some of the classics too. YouTube is another place, but you have to dig way down for full episodes since a lot of it is blocked by the BBC.
Yes, Christopher Eccleston was the 9th Doctor. Before 2005, Doctor Who didn't have "series" which is the equivalent of "seasons" here in America, they were just episodes. So, "Series 1" refers to the modern Doctor Who shows that started with Eccleston in 2005. We are now in the 7th Series and the first half of it ends next Saturday 9/29. After that there will be a "Christmas Special and then the series will resume sometime after.

Maybe after you watch the modern DW, you can start learning and watching some of the "classic" (1963-1989) DW with the 1st to 8th Doctor.
Hi! Since you're starting to watch Doctor Who, you might like this thread, Everything I Need to Know in Life I Learned from Doctor Who: http://narniafans.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29068 Since you're just starting, it might not all make sense, but I don't get all of them either yet and it's still fun! Personally, my favorite parts of Doctor Who are the crazy, funny parts, and this thread contains a good number of those.
I love that episode because the Doctor tells Dickens that his books would last forever! I always dream of going back in time and tell those great people how they contributed to humanity, especially those who died without the proper recognition.

There are more great episodes in that first series, some very, very emotional. This actor set a very high bar for future Doctors.
