Sometimes when I feel especially powerless, I remember John the Baptist. Jesus Himself referred to old John B. as the greatest of mortal men; yet it was never granted to John to have miraculous powers. What WAS granted to him was what is granted to all of us: the opportunity to stand for the truth. He received Jesus' commendation because he DID stand for the truth.
