  • easter to me is just another commercialized Holiday, an excuse to spend money, ( from my upbringing, i know it is supposed to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus) but it has lost its focus over the years...anyways, it dosnt worry me too much, i was brought up in a christian home but sorta dropped off since i was 18....

clear weather finaly ey, lol nice change id assume.. 60 degrees ey, that is still cold...lol that is only 15.5 Celsius. rather fresh.

community college, that is the equivalent to Tafe for us, again like Uni but cheaper, at Tafe here you can do nearly any coarse that is available at uni and also re-do grade 11 or 12..it is cheaper than University. i have been thinking for some time now that i should do some Uni coarse or something, but don't know what i want to study

well it is Easter Friday for us here now....it is 11:53 in the morning
no big deal realy, i think its more of a childrens thing now, my family were to weird when i was young to celebrate easter properly....they saw it too much of a "pagan" holiday now....lost its original intention....they may be right, but still it wouldn't of hurt to let me do any egg hunts or what ever..lol
anyways. im a little older now so it doesn't worry me
    well gotta go
got some washing i need to do
    catch ya round
easter is nearly here...., only one more sleep for me, the year is going so fast....most places close on good friday here and very few will open for the weekend as well......

i went and watched clash of the titans today, just got released to the cinema here today, its pretty good movie....

so what you studying at school...( considering your 26, when you say school i assume you mean uni?)
haha....well we are all still young really.....just feeling old. i feel older when i watch movies that were released the year i was bourne...like "who framed roger rabbit" or "die hard"...lol
I'm sooooo looking forward VotDT too  I can't wait! I'm just suprised there's no trailer yet :(

I'm doing good: leaving my school next year :D yeay !!!!!
I don't come on TDL very often either, but I try, so I can stay in touch with friends like u ;)

    xxx
HAHA, flooding in Rhode island ey....we have had a little rain here but keeps dtying up...still getting 26-30 degree Celcius days here wich is 79-86 farinheight, i like talking on here too, i like to hear from people from other places......

i never had any days cancelled for school when i was going, not even when we had 45 (113) degree heat waves...in a pov school with no air conditioning.... i hope for your sake you get day off school too, then you get long weekend too.....( easter is public holiday for you over there too?)

New Zealand is a awsome place...i did alot of traveling thru NZ when i was there, and do remember quite a bit of it...all the places they shot the lord of the rings films and narnia films....(nearly a decade b4 they started filming....scary to think when i was there in the places narnia was filmed Georgie and Skander would of only been infants or toddlers.....lol)

well i went and pre ordered my copy of Avatar and new moon today special editions, so my copy will be reserved when they come in 2 weeks time, well new moon is on the 14th and avatar will be the 29th....

    anyways...gotta go,
    catch ya round

actualy come to think of it.....when i was in nz i dont think Georgie was even borne...she has only just had her 14th bday on set last year around august i think....dont know exact month......and i have been back in australia for 17 years...lol wow i feel old...and im only 21
HEY yeah, i didn't get to watch the memorial on TV, i was about 20,000 feet above the park when it was happening, on a flight to cairns, the captin of the plain asked us all to have a moments silence in memory as we flew over....i was flying to cairns from Brisbane then from cairns i drove to Bamaga in the top of cape york..( check it out on Google if ya get a chance...see a few pics of the place, lovely tropics). i havn't read the book terri wrote about steve yet, its on the to read list...lol

rhode Island ey, well sad to say i know nothing about the states, all i know is where new york is, California, Texas and Florida. thats about my knowledge of the states, never been there though

myself i have traveled the entire east coast of australia except Tasmania. and been as far west as Emerald as far north as Thursday Island and far south as Melbourne.....id like to see more of my own country but do have a resonable knowledge of the history and do at least know the states....lol we have 6 states and 2 territories. I have not been out of the country in 17 years, i did live in New Zealand for 3 years i was nearly 2 when we moved over there and was 5 when we came back....from what i remember of it is cold and lots of awsome mountains.....i lived in the bottom of the south island. besides NZ i havnt been anywhere else in the world, id like to see europe...( got alot of history in my family in Scotland and Ireland and England )

your lucky to go on a Cruz. iv wanted to do one of those nearly my whole life, i have to get a passport to do it though and then the money...lol...

    well I've rambled enough....
    good to hear from you
    chat soon
Hey....yes Steve was a brilliant bloke, i remember the day well that he died, i remember i was delivering phone books and when i turned the radio on at lunch time hearing all this about Steve dying. it was the 4th of September, the sad thing is the rest of the country knew before his own wife and children, they were down in Tasmania while he was up near Port Douglas. if you ever do come over definitely do go to Australia zoo, you can at-least visit the memorial site for him, he is buried in 1 of the many cemetery up on the sunshine coast near the glass house mountains.

Australia lost 2 legends that week as well, on the 4th we lost Steve Irwin, and 4 days later we lost Peter Brock, ( if you don't know who he was he was a car racing legend over here )....crashed his rally car into a tree.

on happier toppic, if you ever do come over to Australia, make sure you do check out dream world, movie world and wet n wild....they are realy close to each other those 3 theme parks, dream world now has (in the past year or so) a second theme park right in front of it, white water world, i havnt been there yet but ben told its good so check that 1 out too.....( thats if you ever come over )

    anyways...g2g, few things to do
    catch ya round
    bill
thats all good, im not that much of a diehard fan for going to midnight releases of things..... if i want a special edition of a dvd that is to be released i just pre-order it and pick it up when it is released... that way i have a secured copy of the special editions... :)

Australia Zoo is about 2 hours drive from me ( im kinda sad Steve Irwin died...i met him once ) i also think you have to be qualified in Zoology or somthing...to know enough about the animals.....i have put an aplication in at Dreamworld too, thats only about 40 minutes from me....but it is hard to get in there, everyone wants to work there so as a result they pick people who are either closer than me, or better suited to the job with more work history....

have you ever been to Australia and been to any of the theme parks on the gold coast?...i do keep forgetting how fortunate i am to live so close to such a coveted destination, but i guess its the same with anyone....they grow up with something cool they forget how lucky they are...they take it for granted..

if you have been to Australia, where did ya go and what did ya see
if not you should check some of the attractions like the gold coast but id be more inclined to check some places that not everybody dose go to....like Mt Tambourine and Cunningham's gap ( good bush walking if thats what your into) or if you got the time and money go to the top of Australia up to cape york and check out Thursday Island and that....really nice tropical environment there ( it can be a bit pricey to go to the top end if you go on one of those guided tour holiday packs, near $6,000 some of them ) wich is why i just go as an individual and fly up and then see things at my own pace....i also have family up there which makes it A LOT easier and cheaper )

anyways, thats me rambling about it all....there are some great things to be seen here :)
HAHA...all good...i sorta half realized what you meant after i sent the message but by then was too late to change it.....yeah midnight cinema stuff is a lode of rubbish...best to see things in your own time...

so they have midnight releases of DVD's over there do they?...i haven't heard of them doing that here yet. but then again we don't have as BIG supermarkets ( or malls ) maybe in Sydney or Melbourne we might do it, but i live in Brisbane...and don't go into the city much if i can help it..lol....anyways yeah.....i might have a job soon, my uncle lives up in the very top of Australia and says for me to go up there end of April...tourist season starts so lots of jobs...( end of the wet season up there in April....) so i might go check it out and see how i like it.. :)

well gotta go, got a bit to do...got a rental inspection today, ( stupid real-estate people coming through the place every 2 or so months to make sure im not trashing the place )...

    catch ya round
yeah im doing well, just job hunting at the moment. yeah i did go see new moon too, not a midnight release though, i waited a week till most of the hype dyed down and i could go see the movie without having to get cramped into a cinema with heaps of people i don't know. i quite enjoyed the movie.....it doesn't get released onto DVD here for another month and eclipse comes to cinema here in July.... i haven't had a chance to read the books yet, but i will get around to it....if i see a movie i like to at least read the book too.....book is usually better than movie, ( much like Prince Caspian...that barely can be classed as being based off the book....maybe for character names is about it..lol ) im reading too many other books at the moment though, reading the books by Andy McDermott, i just finished all the Matthew Reilly books. so im slowly getting there. anyways...glad to be back on this sight and read up on what people have been talking bout in regards to the movie to be released in December...shame to wait so long but yeah it dose sound like it will be better than the last and gain popularity....will be good

    well catch ya round...
    hope all is well

    bill (Caspian10th )
hey, long time no talk....how you been?....i finally got some of the pictures i took last year of the set of narnia.....its, been so long since i been on here since then,....in regards to me getting narnia merchandise i finally tracked down and bought all seven of the narnia books as a hard cover set.... took me a while but i did find them.. :)
Thank you! Happy New year to you too! Are you having a very nice new years???
I wish I did :) but that's now a bad idea, next year I'll draw my own card :D
    I know I'm a bit late, but ...

hey, hows it goin....well as i mentioned i went and visisted the set of narnia today and watched the filming........it was realy cool.....and as you said , "would't it be funny if i ran into skander or georgie" well i half ran into them...i saw them there comming out of dresser rooms and walking around the set but didnt get a chance to talk to them ...but still saw them there all the same...oh and i saw the step son of C.S. Lewis there too...(doug gresham) ....it was a realy cool morning realy...:)
yeah i used to have some narnia stuff...the only narnia stuff i have now is the old BBC narnia set on dvd and both LWW and PC as collectors eddition 2 disc DVDs....LWW has a four disc dvd out?...ill have to look for it...i want to get the animated LWW and i want to get the books again....(you also want a hard cover set with colour pics ey) lol....id like to get some other memoribilia from the movies and all but lack the funds......dont have a disney store over here in australia that im aware of and MCdonalds never did a happy meal toys release for the movie over here....things like that i have to get off ebay or amazon or places like that.....but yeah...wow sounds like u have quite a collection of narnia stuff...:) doing well....
