Well I probably wouldn't like the anime as much if I didn't already know the charecters inside out.
OMG that is soooo not true with Fruits Basket. At least with the manga. I know the charecter, literally, better than I know myself which scares me. I've cried over volumes, laughed out loud over volumes, gotten mad over volumes. it has so much feeling for me. My mom said something similar to what you said but I think it's all in the eye of the beholder because I DEFINITELY know the charecters.

Nope. The only anime I watch is Fruits Bakset. I read some other manga though.
