  • well good! I'm waiting for my copy to come in the mail
Good for you! In appreciation, I will ask for _your_ opinion on a matter concerning the new story in progress. You may recall that in "Return of the King," though Samwise did clearly _defeat_ Shelob, she was never confirmed slain. So....as my characters enter Mordor, would you like them to be menaced by a surviving Shelob?
Yes, when Aslan converted the Snow Queen, He caused her to be physically the same as an eighteen-year-old, and told her that from that point she would have a normal human lifespan. As for Emmett, are you aware that I swiped him from the cowboy movie "Silverado"? He was played by Scott Glenn.
I'm so pleased that you started Emmett and Queenie! It doesn't get many readers, because the content is obscure. Did I tell you that "Mrs. Gil-Galad Took," a Dutchwoman in real life, is largely responsible for the existence of my saga?

Back in 2008, when roleplaying here was almost unrestricted, there was a girl-power frenzy, in which countless 13- and 14-year-old girls insisted on an endless parade of 13- and 14-year-old "princess" characters who were superior to everyone. Even the Dutchwoman Vanessa (MGGT), who normally is a good-natured lady, was temporarily infected by this epidemic, and for a VERY short time became as obnoxious as any of them in her determination to see men being crushingly humiliated by anything and everything female. But being the good woman she really is, she was not long at all in apologizing for her conduct. So then she cooperated with me in some damage control, as Aslan Himself put the Snow Queen in her place, making it possible for her to be redeemed.
Sonnets are written using a rhythm called "iambic," meaning an alternation of unstressed syllables with stressed ones: da-DAH da-DAH da-DAH. A correct sonnet has exactly 140 syllables, ten in each line. The only exception allowed is if you _really_ want to end one or more of the rhyming line-pairs with words whose _last_ syllable is unstressed, such as "tender" with "sender"; for those lines, you can make it eleven syllables.

Look at my sonnets, and read them out loud to yourself; you will be able to hear that iambic rhythm.
