A fair point. I guess I was going off of what is described in Silver Chair where Jill feels like the voice is low and rumbly like a deep, mighty wind. Honestly, back in the 99 after Prince of Egypt, I felt that if James Earl Jones wasn't Aslan then Val Kilmer ( Moses and the voice of God in PoE...
My choice for Aslan would have been Joel Smallbone of for King & Country. He's a relative unknown, he can sing, he can act ( Journey to Bethlehem and Unsung Hero ), given his Australian he has a British-adjacent accent and his voice has a low, thundery rumble akin to Hugh Jackman and Chris...
I saw that report as well.
And I can agree with you, on the RIngs of Power .They said a lot of the right things in interviews but, the proof is in the pudding, as they say and I'll admit that Gerwig did a good job in interviews as well of saying what I hoped she'd say. Esepcailly after teh...
Allow me to help alleviate your concerns. I understand them, and when I saw the initial headline I had them too, but being a fearless writer for this site< I did what any good journalist does, and dug a little deeper.
There are a few things about this article that point to it being either...
Then upon seeing he was cast in Rings of Power, Tom wised he hadn't complained so much about not being featured in any other adaptation of the story.
"DO I get the beloved cult classic animated film?" he asks. "Or even the prestigious and beloved live action film ? Or even a solid radio play...
I'm slightly more concerned if she's caved to pressure from the so-called "entertainment journalists" who hyped up Neil Gaiman's short story "The Problem of Susan" (to the point that was treated as canon with Lewis books), and used it as a source material, and not just because of the current...
I don't know...I've been a Spider-Man fan almost as long as I've been a NarniaFan, and ever sense Toby Maquire's Spider-man first swung across the silver screen, I've heard ( or read) Pascal make just as many confusing statements about the web-head. I'm liable to assume that she meant to say...
Confession...I uhhh, I kind shipped James and Sarah. Especailly after he episode where in order to help get James out of trouble Henri claimed they were going to be married. They just had a Shasta and Aravis vibe...
I think it's not so much a matter of breaking it as much as going "If it isn't broken, burn it down and salt the ground a la the siege of Carthage so nothing can ever grow again".
So, I this past weekend for family movie night, my niece elected to watch to live action remake of Disney's Jungle Book. As I was watching it, and heard Scarlett Johannson's voice for Kaa it occured to me...
Scarlett would actually be a good choice for Jadis. She has the appropriate sultry yet...
I also hope they don't opt for the "photo-realistic" animals of the live action Lion King. Every review of that film said that the animals had all the emotional range of a Meow-Mix commercial, especially compared to how "alive" and "Vibrant" the animals of the Walden Narnia films looked. It goes...
Minor detail, but one thing I liked in the Walden films I hope they keep in the new films, in so far as the series progresses, was that in VoDt they had Edmund and Lucy wearing Peter and Susan's hand-me-downs from LWW. It just added a small touch of realism to the story .
" Alien Zombie Robot Snake Clown Politician Apocalypse Preparation".
It's coming...one way or another. Now is the time to figure out how best to prepare for the coming Alien Zombie Robot Snake Clown Politician Apocalypse.
And connected to my earlier thread, equally impactful to Susan Pevensie's return to Narnia includes the insights of three of her tutors, "Mary Lenox" from "The Secret Garden", Gwendolyn "Wendy" Angela Moira Darling from "Peter Pan" and Alice Lidell from Alice in Wonderland.
As she begins to...
Right. It's like accepting Jadis' word in the Magician's Nepehew that it was all her sister's fault for the destruction of Charn. When someone we know is on the side of evil is making such claims, their words should be immediately suspect.
