BREAKING: Greta Gerwig’s Narnia Reboot For Netflix Promises To Be The First In A New “Ground Breaking Animated Franchise”

I think it's not so much a matter of breaking it as much as going "If it isn't broken, burn it down and salt the ground a la the siege of Carthage so nothing can ever grow again".

Who should play The White Witch for the Netflix Narnia series?

So, I this past weekend for family movie night, my niece elected to watch to live action remake of Disney's Jungle Book. As I was watching it, and heard Scarlett Johannson's voice for Kaa it occured to me... Scarlett would actually be a good choice for Jadis. She has the appropriate sultry yet...

What is ONE thing you hope happens in the Netflix Narnia stuff, that you are concerned they won't do?

I also hope they don't opt for the "photo-realistic" animals of the live action Lion King. Every review of that film said that the animals had all the emotional range of a Meow-Mix commercial, especially compared to how "alive" and "Vibrant" the animals of the Walden Narnia films looked. It goes...

What is ONE thing you hope happens in the Netflix Narnia stuff, that you are concerned they won't do?

Minor detail, but one thing I liked in the Walden films I hope they keep in the new films, in so far as the series progresses, was that in VoDt they had Edmund and Lucy wearing Peter and Susan's hand-me-downs from LWW. It just added a small touch of realism to the story .

Merging The Narnia Series With Unrelated Books

And connected to my earlier thread, equally impactful to Susan Pevensie's return to Narnia includes the insights of three of her tutors, "Mary Lenox" from "The Secret Garden", Gwendolyn "Wendy" Angela Moira Darling from "Peter Pan" and Alice Lidell from Alice in Wonderland. As she begins to...

    White and Green

Right. It's like accepting Jadis' word in the Magician's Nepehew that it was all her sister's fault for the destruction of Charn. When someone we know is on the side of evil is making such claims, their words should be immediately suspect.

I also have grown to disdain when younger more "hip" creatives seem to disregard the work of all who came before. Case in point Ms. Obaid-Chinoy's comments seem to imply a women never had anything to do with Star Wars behind the camera, when there has been some great work already done by Deborah...

Silly Ideas for the Netflix Narnia Movies and Shows

Considering Greta Gerwig's knack for working with actors she worked with before.... Michael Cera as Aslan. A good idea however, could be him as Reepicheep.

    A Chronicles of Narnia Nutcracker

But you know...we could use the Water Rat that appears briefly in the opening of the Last Battle that tips Tirian off to something being amiss in Narnia. Not sure why, something about that rat always felt shifty

    A Chronicles of Narnia Nutcracker

Inspired by Jasmine Tarkheena's "Narnia Christmas Carol" thread, I thought it would be fun to do another Narnian retelling of a Christmas classic. This time, it's the Nutcracker. Most of you are probably more familiar with the story thanks to the ballet or the film adaptations that use it as...

    A Narnia Christmas Carol

Puggleglum, and a group of Marshwiggles, as the gentlemen talking on the London Street corner after Scrooge's death, saying how they won't go, it'll probably be a cheap funeral, etc. With this added nugget, Puddlgglum declared, "Oh, I'll go, but only if lunch is provided. But, I dare say that...
