Winners are up! The poll will be started in a new thread in this same forum, so please check it out and vote!
How will the contest work?
Step 1) Each person may nominate five stories, one for each of the five categories which I'll list below. Please, only nominate stories that are currently in the forums! You MAY nominate ONE of your OWN STORIES or poems, and you may repost old stories if you want to nominate them. This is so that anyone participating has a fair chance of seeing their story be part of the fun.
Step 2) Send me a PM of your nominations. I ran a contest once before, and it's a huge pain to try and dig through the thread finding all the nominations/votes, and I ended up missing some. So send me a PM titled "my votes" or something like that. I will collect all nominations and list them in this thread.
Step 3) Once all the nominations are gathered, the stories with THE MOST nominations for their category become the WINNERS OF THAT CATEGORY. If there is a tie, the top two nominees both become winners. All winners will then be entered into a poll, and we vote on our ultimate favorite.
Step 4) Prizes!!! I'm not sure what I'm going to do for prizes, yet, but at the very least everyone gets a custom banner for their story. Maybe books too. MAYBE
Every category winner gets a prize, as well as our ultimate favorite.

Voting starts now! Time to choose our Ultimate Favorite from all the nominees.
What are the categories?
Instead of doing categories like 'Best SF/Fantasy,' 'Best love story,' I thought I'd do something a little different to make us more creative in our nominations. So here are this year's categories:
1 Most Creative Story Idea
2 Coolest Characters
3 Most Dramatic/Moving
4 Truest FanFic
5 Favorite Song/Poem
Nominations, winners, changes, and prizes will be posted on the first page of this thread. Out of all the Nominees, we have our WINNERS!!! Some of the sections tied, so all the highest nominees will be entered in our Ultimate Favorite Poll.

To all the winners - congrats! You get an official '09 NF Story Contest Winner banner, or a custom-made story banner, whichever you like. I'll probably be making most of the banners (I made my own, and I have a very old banner-making thread here.) If you don't like my style, though, feel free to request a winning banner from the guys on the Brush&Hide Forums. Many many of them take requests, and are very good
Also, as an additional prize, I'll be interviewing all the winners I can get ahold of, and posting the interviews in the poll thread through the course of the week. So hang on winners, and I'll be PM'ing you about the prizes. Now...*drumroll*...on to the voting!
