Ballet vs Hiphop

Ballet vs Hiphop

As a rule, I like dignified, classical arts. In the area of dance, however, I may surprise people by choosing hip-hop dancing. Permit me to say why.

If it were possible to measure mathematically the amount of effort and study a dancer has to put into mastering a style of dance, and also to measure the amount of satisfaction an audience gets from SEEING that style of dance performed, then I would call hip-hop dancing more "economical" than ballet. For every kilogram of spectator satisfaction that ballet gives, each dancer had to spend ten kilograms of effort and practice, while a hip-hop dancer can spend just three kilograms of effort and practice and give the spectator a kilogram of satisfaction.

Yup, ballet is difficult. I used to take it with my brothers and sisters. Boys were rare at the studio, so they moved up quicker. My brother was 11 and in the second to highest level of the program.:D

I haven't tried either, but ceramic pottery sounds fun because I could paint it.

Valor versus Vanity.

As in vices and virtues? Valor, because vanity is a vice and valor is a virtue. Wow, that's a lot of v's.
