A couple of extra creatures

I could see them employing some fauns, but a minotaur? It just doesn't seem, I don't know, marine enough. Centaurs would be impractical, as BK mentions, due to their voracious appetite.

I don't feel like looking it up, but I thought I remembered reading that a lot of the crew was from Galma and Terabinthia as the Telmarines were fearful of the waters for so long and the islanders were much more advanced in navigation.

And that would probably eliminate big talking animals too!!

The Dawn treader's crew was not from anywhere but Narnia. The crew of the ship that the Seven lords were on were from Galma and Terebinthia.

The exact quote from the book is: "When his uncle, Miraz the usurper, had sent the seven lords to sea, they had to buy a Galmian ship and man it with hired Galmian sailors. But now Caspian had begun to teach the Narnians to be sea-faring folk once more, and the Dawn Treader was the finest ship he had built yet."

Caspian had Narnians. The seven Lords had Galmians.

As much as Imlove the book, the fact that reap was the only non human Narnia on board was one of the this I did not like about it, so I don't mind some being on baord, as Long as it doesn't chnage the storyline much.

Sorry to dobble post, but I think that on Ramandu's Island, we find out that at least one of the crew was born in Galma.

I dunno how I feel about it, it's not one of the things I would boo and throw popcorn about but it's just one of the tiny little things that add up and take away the Narnian-ity of the movies. I know this is getting off topic, but they do like to add, don't they? THe MLG, minotuars, a whole FREAKING storyline. (because, you know, sailing to the end of the world isn't "interesting" enough)
If it were just a few things, I might just be "Oh, a minotuar? That's cool!" Or "Oh, a little girl? She's cute!" but if they keep adding and adding this could turn into me fuming in my roo, grumbling "minotuars, Lewis didn't even MENTION minotuars! Grrrrr....." Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Grrrr.
