I do not remeber there being a minotaur in Caspian, yet they are bringing Shane Rangi back to play a minotaur for PC. Oh well I guess I just have to wait and see how it comes out.

it's just a minor change I guess... although I hope it's not another general for the Tel-marine army or something... they would need something more "original".. I guess

like the age of a certain actor.. (but I'm letting it go now.)

If Aslan allowed those evil giants of Harfang still to exist, He might well permit Minotaurs also to continue existing. And the oppression by Miraz of ALL Narnia's mythic beings could be _just_ the thing to prod Minotaurs into making common cause with good Narnians. For that matter, I find it hard to believe that Aslan would have created ANY thinking beings in the Narnian world that were REQUIRED to be evil. That's why, in early chapters of my fanfic "Southward the Tigers," I showed Minotaurs who were on the side of good.

I think the idea of a Minotaurs still existing is a good one, and I agree with Copperfox's concept of them fighting alonside Caspian for the common good of all of Narnia.

Minotaur on our side

A minotaur on our side would be a nice addition to the army. I agree with both Copperfox (and have seen mention of the minotaur in his fanfic) and SOA on this.

I really liked General Otmin, but it was sad he was on the witch's side.

I do not doubt that there were some still or that they would have been on Caspian's side against Miraz. It just seems a little weird for them to refuse to take a hag and werewolf and yet they were willing to take a minotaur. Oh well, I think it will turn out OK anyways.

It could be a chance to show redemption of those creatures that used to be on the Witch's side. As long as he doesn't an attitude like Nikabrik, then I'm just fine with having a minotaur on the Narnian's side. That could turn into an interesting humour point with Peter and Edmund since they're used to having to fight against a minotaur instead of with one.

I don't know what I think on this one...good points made on both sides...I like the idea them becoming good...but at the same time the Hag and Wherwolf were turned away...I guess I'll put this one on the "wait and see" back burner.

There have been good minotaur, I think. But have you ever heard of a good hag, or werewolf?

Personally I hadn't heard of a good one for any of them...but haven't studied the minators that much. I'll still wait and see when the movie comes out.

The reason for rejecting the Hag and Werewolf was not just that they WERE a Hag and a Werewolf, but that they wanted to try to resurrect Jadis. If they had submitted to Aslan and served on _His_ terms, they would have been permitted to join Caspian.

By the way, pretty much non-sequitir: the references to Caspian remind me that, many years ago, the cartoonist Jules Pfeiffer created a satirical superhero (not at all connected with Narnia) called Captain Caspian.

"But have you ever heard of a good hag, or werewolf?"

Well timbalionguy, there was Lupin from Harry Potter: PoA. Mind you, in his wolf state, he was nearly uncontrollable and had to rely on Sirius and James to keep him under control when he was in Hogwarts and on Snape's potion to keep his job.
