A New Challenge

"that was....amazing" Susan said looking toward Jadis in somewhat awe of what she had done to the evil creatures, "I'm just glad your kill instints only work on the evil creatures now instead of us...."

*she continued to stare into the ripples until they stopped* Edmond...this is what i was afraid of...*she still stared into the water* That if i showed any emotion i would be deprived of the want to fight. *she said no more staring into the water*

*Jadis placed her sword in the hilt on the side of the waist of her battle dress and walked to Susan and Lucy and spoke*"yes be very glad the white witch only shows when your in danger from any evil creature"*her golden battle helment on her head shined slightly**she then looked to Peter and spoke*"your welcome Peter"

Edmund was slightly confused, "what to you mean you would lose your will to fight?" he asked.
 
No, it would be stolen from me. I had done what i would have done if I weren't in love with you, but now that i am no one wants me to be who I was. They want me to be like Lucy or Susan, helpless and scared. *she continued to stare at her reflection*

Edmunds eyes grew with worry, "what could be in the woods?" he asked worriedly.

"sure" Susan said with a gentle look before handing her bow and arrows over to Jadis all the while wishing deep inside that she was as brave as everyone esle for it always seemed she had always been the scared one throughout her life..the one who never took a chance and would rahter play it safe...

*Jadis spoke*"thank you"*she took Susan's bow and arrows and placed an arrow on the bow string and aimed it at a tree above Ed and Lori and pulled back and an arrow was seen flying from where Jadis was and into the tree**The Gargoly was about to jump down and capture Ed and Lori when he was hit by the arrow Jadis release and let a shirk out and last breath out and fell from the tree dead with and arrow sticking out of chest into the water before Ed and Lori**Jadis heard the sherked and smiled to herself for she got what she wanted**she spoke*"thank you Susan"*she handed Susan's bow and arrows back to her and her eyes went back to kindness*

after it was sll over Susan took her arrows back and smiled greatfully to Jadis, "no thank you for protecting my family" she said smileing towards Edmund and Loretta who were still a bit shaken up about what had just happend.

*Jadis spoke*"your welcome Susan dear"*she then looked to Lori and Ed that were shaken up from what happen and spoke*"Its ok its over for right now"

Edmund took one glance at the creature before he began walking not to far from Loretta without saying a word to anyone.

"theres something wrong with them I can feel it" Lucy said glanceing up at Jadis and Peter wirh concern in her eyes as she watched Edmund and Loretta walk off.
 
*Loretta walked toward her family* I'll keep watch...*she walked over farther away and sat on a rock looking into the wood*

"nothing...nothing really I'm just a bit tired is all" Edmund anshered quickly turning to face Peter,"but I think I should help Loretta keep watch or something..." with that he slowly began walking away from Peter and towards a rock which wasn't vary far away from where Loretta was.
