I forgot my games:
DS - LOTR Conquest
GBA - ROTK
- National geographic DVD
- Tolkien DVD
- Lord of the fans DVD (not recommended...poor story)

I want to:
- Complete my LOTR action figure collection
- Have all books about the books and movies
- All LOTR posters
- All premium figures of Sideshow

Ah I see.. well when I bought it the game store was giving away a minature replicas of the Witch King's Sword. Truth be told It's nothing real special, I had hoped it was steel and that it could be used as letter opener. However since it was free I'm not to surpised to learn it was only plastic. Perfect if you happen to have a Witch King action figure. :)

Oh, what a nice thread!

So, here I go:

-The LOTR trilogy (Normal and Extended Editions)
-The LOTR book trilogy in spanish
-The LOTR trilogy soundtracks.
-The Silmarillion and The Hobbit (in spanish)
-The Silmarillion and The Fellowship of the Ring (in english)
-I guess I have like 30 actions figures
-20 cards from the Trading Card Game (and they still smell like new cards)

The games:
-The Fellowship of the Ring (PC)
-The Two Towers (GameCube)
-The Return of the King (GameCube)
-The Third Age

I want so bad the game of LOTR Conquest and the miniatures, the complete recordings... and swords, too!

Adding more to the collection, lots of magazines and newspaper about the movie, interviews, nominations and awards (benig the favourites the ones about Februrary 29th, 2004... one of the biggest, happiest days of my life).
And I hope to get some from other cities and countries (that's an incentive to learn new languages!)

I would have sent you some if I weren't a very huge LOTR collector myself :D
I collect everything LOTR related. My home is a LOTR home. And I have paused the collection spree for a while but will continue it of course!
I also have the Hobbit book and the Silmarillion (english version)

I am glad to see there are others who share the buzz or love of collecting all things LOTR. I myself long to add more to my collection, but I must be sensible and not try to get it all at once. Afterall if I get all items I want, there won't be anything to look foward to. There won't be anything left to save up for and my collection would be complete. Often I wonder if it is the fantasy of completing are collections that we really love, for I notice when I do complete a collection I'm a bit depressed, for now I have nothing left to look foward to collecting. :)

LOTR will always have new stuff. Every year Weta is doing something new. So even if you complete your collection you will see new things will be released. I love to have this collection complete. The action figures it is

I guess I mean your own personal collection. One cannot usually keep up with all the collectables that are release (except the very rich). However each of us has thier own personal collections, like you have been collecting the action figures, I have been collecting the trading cards, and so on. Eventually we complete are personal collection and though it is exciting it also to me can be depressing. However you do make a point Nessa, that if you want to keep collecting there will always be more collectables. :)

I know what you mean Jeff. I know what you mean. The excitement of collecting things is gone. And that's true. But to be honest...I'M MORE THAN HAPPY WHEN THIS ACTION FIGURE COLLECTION IS COMPLETE!! :D Not because I want to have them complete but it's getting annoying after a while to search and search etc. When I finished a collection I'm always satisfied and start a new one :D

Well I can understand that, It's both liberating and a great relief to complete a collection you 've been working on for so long. For myself however I enjoy the process. I thrive better when I have to wait to complete my collection, which completely contradicts the nature inside of me that screams "I want it now!" A good example of these contrasting desires is when I got my last achievement in LOTR Conquest. I wanted so bad to get the total 1000 achievment points, to be able to have done everything in the game worthy of recongnition.

However when I got my last achievment (thanks to my friend RandyNW) I felt not only a sense of completion but of loss. You see though I was happy I had accomplished my goal, I now no longer have any goals. It's a strange feeling, to on one hand be happy and on the other sad.

** I just got my Arwen Bloodlines LOTR TCG Starter Deck! **
The card of Arwen is beautiful! However it is not what I expected. I thought the pic would be of Arwen at The Flight At The Ford sequence, but instead It's from ROTK. No complaints, just not what I expected. Inlcuded in the deck was a card of Frodo, three rare cards; one being Mithrel Armor!, and many other relevent cards.

I now await my Eowyn Shadow Starter Deck. :)

There are a lot of cards and they have many more pics on the cover of the box :D
I have seen a lot on ebay with different pics. I believe the cards are all the same only the picture on the box is different :D
You have a LOT to collect with all those TCG cards! There are so many cards for almost each character

I still need to find myself more posters but I don't think I have any room left to hang them all and I don't want my living room turn into a LOTR theater. Even though I don't mind it myself I won't make my living room too much a LOTR Temple

Yeah I checked Ebay too and I was tempted to buy the card singles. But I must first learn more about how to use Ebay and how to trust the authenticity of sellers. Once I do that, I will probably be ordering lots of LOTR related things from Ebay.

Yeah I wouldn't turn your living room into a LOTR Temple, that's what your room if for. :D

Ooh! Ooh! LotR collector thread, AWESOME! :D I myself have a very weak collection (only around 20/30+ figures) but my family.. man. My dad has the Anduril replica, wall mount included, while my brother has real replicas of um.. Sting (two of them), Legolas' daggers, Glamdring, and Theoden's sword with.. an unbelievable.. amount of toys.. and... tons of LotR games, all the movies extended (about three different versions) and theatrical (except Fellowship; that was a VHS that one of my other brothers took and lost), multiple copies of all three books, Hobbit, Simirillian (wow that was spelled wrong), Tolkien Readers Guide 1 and 2, a really awesome LotR homeschool study that lasts all the way through high school.. Elven brooch replica.. and uh... do fake elf ears count? :D
Hm... I think my brother plans on expanding his sword collection. The United Cutlery (think that's it..) that makes the replicas just came out with Isuldir's sword and another one...

Oh! And the old Bakshi film on VHS (miracle it still works.. well.. almost works...) and the Hobbit VHS
