A Thread For LOTR Collectors

I shall have to postpone my LOTR expenditures for a while (roughly two years to be exact :D). I spent too much in Israel. :D

Edit: When I was in Tel Aviv yesterday me and my mum went into a souvinor shop that had an assortment of jewlery and collectables. Among the jewlery was the LOTR Elven Fellowship Brooch. I was simply astonished that they had a replica from LOTR in a hotel shop in Tel Aviv Israel. :)

that's awesome :D

Twilight has one of those, I have Gandalf's brooch that I use for my Elven cloak ;)

I had considered getting the Elven Brooch, but then my mum offered some council and I decided not to get it. :)

In case you were wondering what council she gave; she said "You'll probably never ware it and it looks more like what girl would ware." :D

I figured my mother knew best, afterall I have never worn a brooch.

I just use it for my cape, the only other pin I ever wear is a cat pin on my jacket, which is a Doctor Who thing :p

Truthfully I am content with my LOTR collection now. I really am not interested in adding anymore collectables. Instead I shall savor and enjoy what I have. :)

Like for instance, I really enjoy Hadhafang. It has long since I last owned a scrimitar.

I also love my Complete Recordings, as I said before they transport you right back to Middle Earth in a blink of an eye. :)

Ah then you speak of BBC version. Yes I have listened to the entire recording, infact that is how I first experianced Middle Earth aside from seeing the FOTR when it came out in theaters. :)

I've heard that one, seen the animated stuff (love the Animated Hobbit) and listened to several other versions, they were all amusing ;)

My favorite is by far the BBC version with Ian Holm. I heard one of the American Versions has dozens of errors and that the elvish pronunciations are completely wrong.

Now those are just funny :D

I do love that one, it's my favorite too, but as my sister will point out, though everyone else is perfect, Aragorn stinks... :o

Yeah I was a bit troubled by his voice in BBC version, I had already gotten use to Viggo's Araogrn so when I heard it I was like huh? THat's not Aragorn! However as you listen it begins to grow on you. :)

We heard it before the movies came out, our imagined ideas of Aragorn were not fulfilled at all until Viggo ;)
