A tribute to the Duffers of old

Resurrection of old threads, while no doubt a long-standing tradition among Duffers (Hah! Further proof that Derny is a Duffer), is oftentimes somewhat confusing for those of us who haven't been around quite as long as others. :rolleyes:

Olórin: It's not a longstanding duffer tradition--it's something I did that a bunch of duffers imitated. Not that I was the only one, but it wasn't part of the duffer tradtion back then.

Thread: This was back when we became red mods. :eek: Strange to think . . .

we have invited two specialists on the topics of roaming and sleeping: prof. dr. gollum sméagol and dr. lieke, e.o.t.u., c.w.p., e.t.c., l.a.l.a.

PRO ROAM

CON SLEEP
"It is a statistic fact that people who sleep have 100% less coffee than people who don't sleep, thus I strongly recommend sleepless nights and coffeenated days."



okay, i'll look for the box. the reasons for roaming simply outweighed those for sleeping. sometimes one just needs to make a quick decision.

actually, the funny (or not funny, depending on your perspective in that matter) thing is, right after typing that post which states my utmost conviction to go find that box, i forgot about it altogether and posted in another thread.

no, you would. You would forget about the gold, and then find it. Nobody finds gold when they're actually looking for it. People just trip over it when they're thinking about something entirely different, like why your shoelaces never stay tied for more than 23 seconds at a time, not suspecting that somebody might have greased them...
