Actors, Roles and Resemblance

There is a certain facial type which I find especially appealing in actresses. It's hard to define, but such a face is SORT OF soft and rounded-- not FAT, but, well, appealing. Three examples come to mind: Traci Lords, Billie Piper and Emily Blunt. Each of these, moreover, was able to show strength in one way or another. In Miss Lords' case, her portrayal of Princess Dejah Thoris expertly increased the soft- yet-strong effect even while DECREASING her amount of clothing.

Possibly add Jennifer Lawrence as well.

Oh, and stepping outside of entertainment in the usual sense of entertainment, there are two channel hostesses on YouTube who have sweet faces and well-directed wisdom: Courtney Ryan and Sydney Watson. Courtney is maybe 10 percent above Sydney in pure physical beauty; but Sydney still is more than sufficiently attractive to walk into any room beside Courtney without embarrassment, and Sydney also has excellent humor in her toolkit.

It usually happens that when an actor's character becomes popular, he is typecast as that kind of character. That can be good or bad. Some actors actually shine in a certain type of character and enjoy playing them. Of course, it can come to an end when the audience stops enjoying the actor as that kind of character. Other actors want to stretch their acting chops by playing against their type. Jim Carrey always played the same kind of comedic character until he decided to move into drama.

As for the future of a character when the actor leaves or dies, again, this is dependent on the type of show and how easily the actor can be replaced with another actor. In soap operas, this does occasionally happen that an actor leaves but is then their character is replaced by another actor. Sometimes, a veteran actor who has portrayed a popular character cannot simply be replaced no matter if the actor died or quits, especially if the audience looks at the actor and character as one. However, sometimes the character is just so vital to the series, TV or movie, that they have to change actors in the case of a death or quit. This can be good or bad, depending on the audience.

Or you could be sneaky like the BBC was with Doctor Who and simply claim the actor transformed into his successor! ;-) (Sorry, just had to say that).

Keep an eye on where Spacebullies is entering its "Fourth Galaxy" phase. I actually plan to create a Doctor Who parody named "DOCTOR SELF," who travels the dimensions in what he calls the TOP-THIS.

I'M ALREADY EASING IN SOME NEW CHARACTERS BASED ON GERALYN. IN THE NEW "SOUTHERN PINWHEEL GALAXY," THERE'S A COWGIRL TYPE CALLED CATASTROPHE JANE, WHOM I CONCEIVE AS RESEMBLING GERALYN IN HER YOUTH; ALSO, AS MISTER ECLECTIC, I'M DEVELOPING A CHARACTER NAMED ZELDA BOLT, WHO PHYSICALLY RESEMBLES GERALYN AS SHE IS _NOW:_ BALD BECAUSE OF CHEMOTHERAPY.

GERALYN HAS DECIDED THAT SHE MAY LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE A FORUM CAREER AS "ORBITAL ORACLE."

You have one in Denver and one in Pueblo.
Both as Mister Eclectic and as my alter-ego Copperfox, I thank you for the reminder! Pueblo is outside our normal travel radius; but as for the other, it's been so long since Wood Nymph and I could afford any sit-down restaurant, we altogether forgot that there ever had been any Ruby Tuesday in the Denver area. Being better off now financially, we shall see if a visit to the nearer one is logistically feasible.
