After Return of the King

The little elf just watch them still with treas rolling down her cheeks.

Mar shook her head.
" Well elf are you answer me or not?,"She ask with her arms cross.

Verendiel-

A look of surprise fell quickly across Verendiel's face as Arla entered her view. How could she have not forseen this? This would no longer be an easy defeat but a challenge for Verendiel and her awaiting army. An Elf with the power to heal would prove very difficult to smite, but confidence had not been swept away from Verendiel yet. She now whispered out loud,

"Let's see if you can mend this great wound, Arla Healer of Light."

Concentrating with all of her strengh and will, Vernediel turned her terrible power towards the whole Elven army. Soon the once brave soliders were greatly troubled and afraid even to enter the caves massive depths. The task to bring them all back to mental health would not be an easy one.

Frodo-

Frodo now took a hold of Kasey's hand and gave it a gentle sqeeze,

"How are you feeling now, dear one?"

He paused,

"I did not tell you this earlier.. but.. I too was troubled with disturbing thoughts. I'm sorry I did not tell you before. I just.. I didn't want to worry you."

"What did you say?" Bryan asked.

"I do feel better. Thank you Arla." Kasey said. "She was the one that killed my father. She has the power to enter people's minds. She said she'll just find another when she left mine." she added.

Arla gave a bow and noticed the whole elven army trembling. "I think I found out who or should I say they. The army is trembling in fear. She is testing me. She is trying to see how much power I have. She fears me." Arla said.

"Listen all of you. Mind block her out. She may be an elf but there are more than one of us and only one of her!" Arla called to the army. Slowly the elves stoped trembling and felt strong with her words.

Verendiel-

Verendiel recoiled in anger, as she felt her once powerful grasp on the Elven army slowly weaken. If she could not bring the soliders down she would have to target the weaker minds.

Once again raising her pale hand, she gazed at Peregrin Took. She knew his will power was nothing more than a child's. For this was how many hobbits were. Except for of course Frodo, Sam and Merry. The three had all grown considerably on their journey. But Pippin was still young, which made him for an easy target.

Pippin-
Pippin felt as if a war was raging in his mind. Never in his life had such a brutal battle been fought within his head. Raising a hand to wipe the drips of sweat from his brow, he shivered. He could see him. His friend. Merry! He was being tortured, beaten beyond what Pippin had ever seen. Until finally his friend could with stand it no longer and fell to the floor, growing quickly cold. Although this event had not really occured, Pippin had sure as anything believed it had.

Letting go of Easta's hand, he quickly unsheathed his shining sword. Before he even truly knew what he was doing, he ran forth into the caves in search of Merry. Little did he know how foolish a deed this really was.

For awhile all he could hear was the sound of his own heartbeat. But not for long. The sound of arrows whizzing through the air, quickly caught his attention and he soon found himself blindingly dodging them. But he could not sucseed in this task for long. Suddently he felt a bitter pain strike his leg, before he had even known what hit him, he had collapased falling to the ground and the cave began to look even darker before. From than point on he heard and saw no more.

Easthà ran up to her weak Uncle now with treas bigger then before.
" Uncle Pippin wake up,"She said,
shaking his shoulder her treas drip on his sleeve.

Mar pulled out her double blade sword out.
" You dear not hurt any of my other friends or you well pay,"She said in anger.

"Stop Master Peregrin!" Arla shouted.

Suddenly Bryan appeared infront of him. "Don't be so foolish! She wants you to come out of here alone! Don't follow or listen to her. I was able to talk to Merry through my mind. He is fine..a little bruised but fine. I told him we were coming to help him."

Pippin-

Pippin awoke from his dark daze with a dreadful start, he shuttered at the sight of his own blood and he soon felt the pain that came with it. He heard Bryan scold him firmly, but his words were faint and seemed to be drowned out by the firing of arrows. Pippin felt small hands just gently shake his shoulders, it took a few moment for him to realize it was little Easta and when he did he said with all of his strengh,

"Easta! Run! It's not safe here!"

The world now began to spin all around him, until at last everything went pitch black as it had once been before.

Frodo-

Watching on with shock as Pippin carried out his foolish errand, Frodo found himself running after his friend. But he had not been quick enough. He had heard Pippin's yells as an arrow struck him in the leg and had felt a sick feeling inside as he heard him fall to the ground with a loud thump. Hurriedly stooping over Pippin, Frodo noticed something else beside the dreadful amount of blood. A black substance running from the tip of the arrow quickly caught Frodo's frightened eye.

"Poison!", exclaimed Frodo in shock. Turning to Bryan, Frodo cried,

"We have to get Pippin back to Arla! Quick!"

Eastà shook her head.
" No Uncle Pippin I won't leave you,"She told him

Mar made a fist.
" No one hurts my friends,"She said,
now she grabbed her bow and arrows.
"Who did this ?,"She ask.

"Don't move him to much!" Bryan said. "I can call her."

suddenly Arla appeared. She said a few words then moved all of them back into the cave.

"Hold it Mar. We have to figure this out first. How to stop that traitor. It's obvious none of us can do it alone. I think I have an idea though. Arla, you saw how she was trying to weaken them with her mind? If you want Mar you can help too. Let's use as much power as we can to do it to her. One wont be able to do it but three might." Bryan said.

"I'm up for it." Arla said.

Takia stepped toward them and nodded.

Mar rolled her eyes.
" All right what can I do?,"She ask.

Then there was a soft voice came behind them.
"Yes and what can I do as well,'Said the voice.

"We need to focus all our power on one thing. Getting into her mind." Bryan answered.

"Who are you?" Arla asked.

Frodo & Pippin-

Frodo looked down at Pippin, his friend seemed to slowly be regaining his consciousness. Pippin's left arm moved ever so slightly and not long after this his eyes fluttered open. He looked around, still somewhat in a daze,

"Wh..what happened? Frodo?"

Frodo gazed thoughtfully down at Pippin, slowly helping him up to his feet,

"How are you feeling, Pippin?"

Pippin shook his head, trying to gain a clear perseption of the reality around him,

"Fine.. I'm fine. What is going on?"

Frodo took a deep breath, then explained,

"You ran into the caves by yourself, in search of Merry."

Frodo was interupted by Pippin,

"What kind of a foolish errand was that?"

Frodo cut back into the conversation, continuing to explain,

"But you were struck by one of the Orc's arrows. I ran after you. But I was not hasty enough. There was poison on the edge of the arrow. I was afraid I was going to lose you."

Pippin turned his head to the side, taking in his surroundings,

"And why is it that I feel no pain whatsoever now?"

Frodo cast his eyes upon Arla who stood nearby,

"You must thank Arla for that. Her power saved your very life."

Pippin bowed respectfully to Arla,

"I am sorry I put you all in such a dreadful position. What are we to do now?"

Frodo shrugged, his shoulders. The dim light of Sam's latern, spread across Frodo's once spotless cloak. It now hung across his back, completely bloodstained and holding cakes of dirt upon it. Frodo now replied, in answer to Pippin's question,

"The answer to this I'm afraid I do not know yet, for it is still being debated."

"We sorta have a plan. My brother figured it out. What she did to you Master Peregrin, Kasey, and the army is what us five are gonna do." Arla explained.

"Like I said. Focusing all our minds on doing it!" Bryan answered.

Frodo-

Frodo turned to face Arla, then said with a hint of a skeptical tone,

"Are you sure it was work, Lady Arla? I mean.. she is very powerful."

He paused, gazng into the darkness of the caves,

"Do you think we can withstand her for long?"

Pippin-

Pippin listened carefully to Frodo's words,

"You can count me out. I already know I'm weak, when it comes to all this power of mind buisness. I have a feeling I may try to set out on another foolish errand if I stay in these caves for too long."

"None of you have the power to do it. Only elves can do it." Bryan said.

"I think it just might work Mr. Frodo. We'll try. I think that if we can distract her long enough and attack while we're doing it we'll get Merry back and take her away. She has orcs with her but not as many as our army. Do you think you could lead the army Mr. Frodo?" Arla asked.

Frodo-

A look of surprise now began to wash over Frodo, the dim lantern light caught his face in the memory of time. He quietly looked at Sam then at his beloved Kasey,

"I cannot say I am the best choice to lead this army.. for I have never done so in my life."

He gazed at Arla a moment,

"But I shall do it.. if this is what obtaining our objective requires."
