He's a guy who has a show on the Sirius satellite radio station. He wants his listeners to vote for Sanjaya. Then he thought the show was (beeped) up because Stephanie Edwards got voted off. Hmph.

I don't understand why and how Sanjaya keeps managing to stay on. He just doesn't have the talent that any of the rest of the contestants have. So many people like Jay Leno and David Letterman and others have just made fun of him and can't understand how he manages to stay on.

Simon's comment that if Sanjaya wins American Idol, that he will quit and not come back for another season is also telling. If that were to happen, which I hope doesn't, I believe it will mark the total end of American Idol because in spite of his comments being somewhat rude at times, people tune in to watch and listen to Simon. He is the American Idol show itself and without him around as a judge, Idol will go down the slop chutes so to speak.
 
I agree too that the show would flop.
my mother pointed out that eventually all the decent singers (i.e.-Chris Sligh, Stephanie Edwards, etc.) will leave, and the people who voted for them are the people who CARE about whether or not the contestant can sing, and their votes will go to the really great singers, like Jordin and Melinda. eventually it fixes itself. again, remember jasmine trias? top 3, but she was still very flat. i have this strange feeling that sanjaya will make it to the top 3 as well. i just hope i'm really wrong.
 
I know; I'm thinking he might make it to the Top 5. When this season's over, I'm going to have a strong er- word with FOX. *sharpens knife* :D

But I'm hoping that when the other singers who aren't the best but are better than Sanjaya, Sanjaya won't be able to stick around. If so many people hate him, why is he still there??
 
I totally agree with ya SOA! I mean I know that I tuned in for Simon and for the good singers, and the fact that he is a producer is very important. I hope it doesn't come to that though.

I wish it would. Then, people like Sanjaya wouldn't be on the show anymore. They're already undoing like, every good thing they EVER had from people like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Chris Daughtry. It would serve them right if the show went down, because they thought they could have a bad-singer joke in a SINGING competition.

I read somewhere that the number of viewers is going down this year compared to the same time last year.

i so hate the fact that sanjihay (i have no idea how to spell his name) is still there. the dude shouldnt have even been in the top 24! but i kinda feel bad for him cause he has to know how bad he sucks and that hes only there cause howard stern has a big fan base........ :cool: ;) and that website "votefortheworst.com"

so yeah.................
