I'm sorry Lady Larien :p I didn't mean to really critisize blake! I like him too, but it was just slightly shocking, really. I agree that Blake has a modern vioce, and it's nice. I'm just voicing out my opinion that blake is a pretty good singer, but for me, melinda's voice is better. Heck, isn't that why we're voting? On who's better? Opinions?

Although I'm still wondering who will win O.o (Prays it's Jordin)
 
Yeah, I also want Jordin to win so Blake can do better. Blake just has that voice that I love. You can look at a bunch of my fave bands and be like "Dang, no wonder she likes Blake so much." haha
 
I guess we just have to find out who'll win in *Ryan Seacrest voice* American Idol! Gosh, I'm so excited! To tell you the truth, I don't know who to choose! They're both uber good >_>;;

wow, I agree there. The only reason Blake stayed in was because of his looks...which honestly, aren't up to standard.

then again, maybe the judges need to be replaced with those who can really pick out the best singers of America. The judges should have kicked Blake out in Hollywood because it's a singing competition.

I like Blake, don't get me wrong, but as Simon said, Melinda has been consistent each week, he and Jordin haven't. Melinda WILL make a CD, because she will get a million offers, and will pull a Clay Aiken and beat out everyone else in sales (except Clay, cause he rocks:D ;)). And I will buy it, and I am most certainly not OLD. Katherine, ug, don't get me started on her *rolls eyes*. Jordin will also do well, and so will Blake. They all can sing, but I fully believe that Melinda deserves the title.
And yes, I did vote for her.
 
Yeah, I know, but that's what makes me so angry. If the judges had ears and eyes, they could have seen that Sanjaya and Antonella never should have been let through in the first place...I mean, we all saw that. :rolleyes:
 
True, Blake is rather handsome. I was actually REALLY expecting Melinda or Jordin in the Finals. When he said, "Melinda, it's the end of the road" It was unbelievable! It was almost 60 million votes! Maybe Blake got more than that. I did want to see Melinda in the Finals. But probably Jordin will win. It's kind of predictable, a bit. She's pretty, she's talented, etc. Blake's just blake. I like his beatboxing though, and a bit of his voice. He's really good at modern songs. But Jordin is good at most of it. It's kinda hard to decide becoz people have different voices for each category and in this competition it has to be ALL of them (I think)

Hey, you gotta admit, Blake has some looks for a guy. Most of the guys who competed aren't really handsome and all. Really. Some, funny. Some, well, Et cetera. He's probably the most handsome guy in the whole season 6. Really. but that's my opinion.
 
Just as I predicted, a Jordin/Blake finale. I agree that Melinda is a better singer than Blake, but do you honestly think she is fit for the title? American Idol seems to be more veiwed by a younger audience, and even though she is a GREAT singer, she is boring. I was and still am rooting for Jordin to win. I don't think we need to worry though. Take Chris Daughtry for example, he only made it to the top 4 last season and his CD is number #1 on the charts. I'm sure Melinda will do fine, I'm sure most of the top 10 will do fine. :)

okay, in some people's minds, he may have good looks, but this isn't an appearance competition; it's a singing competition. Blake doesn't have it where it counts.

Well look at him now. He finished fourth place last year and he's managed to outsell Katherine and Taylor in both the singles and album. I know for a fact that Melinda will do well with her album when it comes out.

On another note, since everyone is entitled to their opinions, I believe that at some point during the competition the final results are fixed.

Exactly, and I hope Melinda does just as well as Chris.


I still say they aren't fixed, because they are not.

Sry for the double post, but I have PROOF that AI isn't fixed.

It would be illegal, plan and simple.

I was talking with someone who said that a while back there was a gameshow like jeopardy that ended up being fixed, and they got in HUGE trouble.

If AI was fixed, they would be in trouble for false advertising because they advertise as a vote-based show.
 
I dont think it is fixed. It was Melindas time to go. Why would AI fix it so she went? It's not like they hated her.
Melinda will by far outsell both Jordin and Blake but they are both gr8 singers too but Melinda was way out of their league.
Blakes Dad is so cute, I nearly cried :p

Because if Melinda went on to the finals, it wouldn't have been a competition. We all would've known that she would easily win the title. As much as we want either Blake or Jordin to win, we have no idea who's going to win it.
 
Go Jordin!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am disappointed that Melinda went home simply because AI should not be decided by Blake being hot enough for girls to like him. Jordin has the best voice out of those left plain and simple.
