First i will just said that some scenes in the extended editions of the Lord of the Ringsmovies where shot after the cinema release.
Spokesmen for the dvd production has said that it will come a extended edition and that will include atleast the following parts:
More scenes with Aslan
More characterization
Longer version of the ride towards the Witch´s castle.
A longer scene with the courtyeard of thw Witch´s castle where the creatures comes back to life
The whole dance scene
Longer version of the battle scene which includes some soldiers of the witch´s army to be burned alive by the phoenix.
I hope they include more scenes with beavers including when they receive there gifts and the trailerscene where a wolf says that there are humans in Narnia.
There are rumours that the date will be either this august, this november or sometimes between 9-15 months after the release of the latest dvd release.
In 2005 Andrew Adamson talked about the movie and sad that it would be about three hours long.
They cut down the movie and the reason was that they fought it could be to long for children.
The scene where soldiers are burning where cut down because that they wanted to have a lower age limit to see the movie.
If you compare LWW and the Lord of the ringsmovies is that the same rumours regarding the length happend when they where coming.
The length which was originally said was longer than the cinema version, but became true when the extended editions come out.
It could be that they want to start with filming Prince Caspian,so that a trailer could be include on the edition.
I have heard from different sources that a extended edition may be will come out next spring.
Warner Brothers is planning to make extended editions for all the Harry Pottermovies, but there is a rumour that they will make it first after all the movies has been made, maybe Disney and Walden Media is planning the same thing regarding the Narnia movies.
The reason they are waiting is that they won´t to know which Narniabooks they have made into movies so that they can put parts of the books which they have not made into movies as a parts of extended editions of the movies they have made.
