Anne of Green Gables

I can understand why...

well, parts of it were really romantic, but after a while it just DRAGGED and it seemed like they wanted to squeeze in every genre into that movie-spy, war, romance, tragedy...
i really wish that they had made each book individually. it would have been so much better.

I've read the books and own the whole Anne of Green Gables series. I loved watching it when I was younger...I haven't watched it for a while, but I know I'll still enjoy it. ^_^

I do like it that Gilbert wins Anne's heart in the end BY BEING A GOOD GUY, not by being an empty-headed, egotistic, posing stud.

hey all of you, take the quiz in my siggy :D I found it when I was looking for screencaps from the movie

yay! thanks for the site, and you are welcome for the clip
you will NEVER guess who I got!

"Who would you like to play in a play?"
guess what I chose (look at my siggy lol ;) :D )
"You dream of..." "Who do you dream of for your romantic life?"
GILBERT BLYTHE!!! *siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh* i <3 him ;)

try this link, from the same site, where you can see what your name would be in Anne's world! mine is Sarah Stacy of Avonlea. i looooove it!

Oooh, add me in to the kindred spirits list.

I've read my whole Anne series so many times in the last twenty years, it's in tatters.

My husband and I honeymooned in PEI, and spent a whole day on a picnic blanket in the yard at Green Gables reading Anne out loud to each other.:p

The Emily books are fantastic too.

I love the first two films. But The Continuing Story made me want to curl into a ball and weep. It was terrible. They completely destroyed the characters and timeline.

tell me about it. its so far from the series that it could be a movie on its own. i have disowned the movie.

I love the books,I've read all 8,and most of Lucy Maude Montgomery's other books too. I love the movies, all three, and the spin off Tv show-Road to Avonlea. My favorite character was of coarse,Anne herself.:)

I love Anne of Green Gables. Love the book. Liked the movie. I agree thought that the continuing story one was pretty bad. It messed things up.

Still like the first movie overall.

I love Anne of Green Gables. I have never read the books, but I love the movies, and although the story line was messed up in the continuing (sp?) story I like it too. I was really happy to see the cast from the old movies starring in the last one.:D :D

one of my main problems with that is that the actors and actresses barely looked like they did in the 80s. they were around 15 years older and the movie was supposed to take place 5 years later.

I saw a movie once ages ago...but I don't know which one. So I'm mainly a fan of the books. Which I have read and re-read so many millions of times... *sigh*
Anne of the Island, Anne's House of Dreams and Rilla of Ingleside are my favorites. Although I love them all...:)

I'm a kindred Spirit for sure! My friends and I even call ourselves K.S.'s:rolleyes::D
I love the Anne books, and the Emily books, and the two Pat books. (in backwards order. Hehe)

Has anyone else read the series or seen the movies?
I watched the 1st 2 movies when I was young, and loved them.
Recently my love has been rekindled, and I just finished reading Anne of Green Gables last night and am already on the 5th chapter of Anne of Avonlea.
We (my mom, who LOVES the movies, sister, and I) are watching the movies and only have the last part of the last movie to watch. The whole series is utterly ROMANTIC!! I think it is the most romantic series/movies ever!
I also feel that Anne and are are kindred spirits, and that we would have been bosom friends had we met. I also think Gilbert Blythe is so handsome!
I want to make a NarniaFans official fan group right here.
If you know you and Anne are kindred spirits, tell me and I will add your name.
If you just like Anne of Green Gables, let me know and I will add your name to the fans list.
