Anne of Green Gables

Aw...Have you seen any of the later seasons?
The last episode "Return To Me" is really good.:D

I don't remember unfortunately.
I was only able to see the first few episodes from the library, and some with Gus when it was on in the afternoons on the local Canadian channel. Sadly, a few months after my sister and I discovered the show was on that channel, they stopped playing the reruns.:(

Aww...Thats too bad. I used to watch it on an American channel, but they stopped after a couple seasons.
I watch the seasons sets on DVD.:)

Oh fellow Anne fans, there's a quote I"ve been trying to find from one of the books and I haven't had too much luck. It is something along the lines of "To despair is to give up hope in God" or something to that effect (I don't know the exact quote, that's why I"m asking you ;)) I think it is in Rilla of Ingleside but it might be from an earlier one too. Do any of you have any idea?

Can't remember in the books, but its in the movie Anne of Green Gables (the first oen),so it might possibly be in that book.:)

"I can't eat..I can never eat when I'm in the depths of despair..Haven't you ever been in the depths of despair,Marilla?"-Anne

"No I have not.To despair is to turn your back on God"-Marilla

:)

aha, my sister was right, I thought Mrs. Lynde said it and she thought Marilla said it

Thanks ;)

No prob..Anne used to be my obsession and I can quote about half the movie from memory.:o :p

That's awesome ;)

And I used to be able to quote pretty much all of the Fellowship of the Ring movie

then they came out with the extended edition and it threw me off ;)

Haha...yeah...Its like when they add new scenes to movies..fun,but you have to learn all the new lines.;)

LOL..yeah...I own the theatre versions on dvd..the extended were really expensive.

I should borrow them from the library though...:p

Haha^

I have missed this thread though..and talking about Anne&Gilbert..I think they were the first couple I ever shipped.:p
