I'm looking forward to seeing some great costumes.

I'm also hoping that the costumes in the Netflix series are inspirational to people as well.

Although I have no photos to share of what I'm about to describe, what we DID in cosplay may be interesting.

A young woman of my acquaintance used to be active on TDL, under the name of Sonata Moonlight. She and I had become acquainted in real life when performing together in the Colorado Renaissance Festival in 2010. (The sadly-absent Timbalionguy came out from Nevada to see us that summer.) In early fall of 2011, the city of Golden, Colorado reached out in search of Narnian cosplayers. You, Specter, probably fielded that request yourself.

The city of Golden was going to give a free screening of the "Dawn Treader" film in a park, and they wanted players to be "Narnians" mingling with the audience before the movie started. So I pretended to be one of the slave traders Caspian encountered. I roamed among the citizens, making excuses for myself, insisting that I was merely a "human resources coordinator"-- and asking them not to inform on me to the fairy agent Aslan had sent to arrest me. Sonata, as Aslan's agent, combed the park back and forth, asking children if they had seen me. Of course, she was careful not to capture me until just before the movie started.

That sounds awesome! :-D I would have loved to see that. I might have fielded that request. Wow... it's been 10 years. haha!
