I thought so, I read some children's abridged version of that once It's fairly sad isn't it?

I love HG Well's books.

Parts are yeah..it's about a scientist (George) who travels through time to a year WAY in the future and discovers humans have split into two races one savage and one emotionless and uncaring but harmless.
So he has to "teach" them how to live..and falls in love with the girl who he meets first.
It's got a happy ending though unlike the orginal book which ends quite sadly.
I love the movie.
