In general I don't like the "hate" topics. Yes I know we don't all mean it that way but still....
This kid is famous and why is he famous? Just because people like him. And because there are a lot of girls who drool over him the attention he gets is growing. But together with the lovers you see the haters. I don't care for the kid's fame. To be honest I hardly heard any of his songs but it really disturbs me how the hate list is growing like he is a disease which must get killed.
Gimme a break! Within 10 years from now nobody even know who he was and he will only be named among the "stars" of 2010 and maybe 2011. So let's go of the hatred please because it is useless

Be careful before you condemn anyone, do you have any room to judge a sister or brother? Ye who is perfect, throw the first stone.
I don't like either of the artists, mainly because I don't believe young artists really understand the music they make. But as we are a family, and all human, we make mistakes, just because she's watched all the time everything she does is amplified ten fold.
I just don't want to hear anything like that again from anyone, no offense to you.
No one is condemning anyone here, but everyone is expressing an opinion, and that's different. Besides, the comment for which you posted this doesn't qualify as judgment or condemnation. It was more like stating a fact.

To be quite honest I don't understand why people really hate him... like I don't have "Bieber Fever" even though according to most people due to my age I should... my friend has it massivly and we really take the mick out of her for it just cause it's funny to see her reaction. Yeaah I think he can sing but just cause his voice ain't broke doesn't mean he's homosexual://

Bieber I think is a very good looking young man with a good voice, he has some talent, I don't like him, but I don't hate him either, no one diserves to be hated by anyone.

He told me about that actor, then said he thought my sister and I would appreciate the sense of humor in his shows.
I laughed and said, "Well, if I would enjoy it, I guarantee you that the people my age wouldn't be talking about it. Nowadays, it's all about Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, and the Jonas brothers."
My dad's mouth fell open. "Really?!"
"Uh, yeah. Well, not so much the Jonas brothers. It's really all about Justin Bieber now."

My dad was absolutely flabbergasted. "Justin Bieber?! Really? Now, if you were eight, I'd understand, but..."
"Oh, everybody talks about him. There are college students who like his music. Everyone in the youth group talks about him. Granted, many of them are complaining about him, but still..."

Mom: I said to Dad that we ought to buy them as an April Fools gift for you and your sister.

You wouldn't...Mom: But of course, I've ruined it now.
me: Well, you could still get them for my sister.
Mom: It's really not worth the money. We'd waste the bandz.
me: You can give them to (names girl at church).
Mom: She likes Justin Bieber?!
me: Well, she was wearing a t-shirt with his face on it, so I assume so.
Mom: We don't need to buy them. We can just laugh at the fact that they exist.

When we went to go see Narnia 3, the Beiber trailer came on and EVERYONE groaned. (if you haven't seen it, it uses usher and teeny boppers saying things as if he's worth being on American Masters)). I shouted at the end "WHAT A WASTE OF FILM!!!" and everyone was like "AMEN!!!" XD

They didn't show that trailer when I went to VDT, much to the delight of my sister and I.
Some friends of ours had to see it when they went to see Tangled, and had not given us a very good report. When my sister and I went back to the theater to see Tangled a few weeks later, we were running late. We walked into the theater just as the Justin Bieber trailer was ending. It could not have been more perfect timing! We didn't have to see the trailer, and nor did we miss it entirely and be in suspense until Tangled began, wondering whether or not the trailer had played yet.

On some website I was on recently (I forget which one), I read something that I found really interesting. It claimed that it was "mainstream" to both love Justin Bieber and to hate him. I guess that's true for a lot of celebrities, but I just find it ironic that we are just as quick to jump on the bandwagon of hatred as we are to idolize an overrated star. It is normal and perfectly reasonable to dislike someone's music, but I think we are a little too accustomed to bashing people based on their appearances or even rumors we hear about them. I think that many of us, myself DEFINITELY included, tend to see celebrities as robots that exist only for our enjoying or criticizing purposes. Granted, many of them DO follow lifestyles that we may not agree with, but that's not an excuse to treat them differently from any "normal" person.
