Okay,I just HAD to post this. You remember the post above right? That actually was not as bad as what happened later!
My DAD found out what his real name was and was like "Ben Barnes?" in that tone of voice that suggests you think someone's an idiot. It is NOT a stupid name! Its the most beautiful name in the world! Then he started making fun of him even worse calling him "Butt Barnacle" and telling jokes about me sending in for an autograph. I tried to shake it off and just laugh(It WAS kind of funny) but of course,as was with my cousins and Owl city,IT STILL HURT!

Everyone's like "Oh reagan stop being a sensitive baby!,We're just elbowing ya,people do that." But they only do it to ME! If everyone in this house got elbowed I could stand it,but they DELIBERATELY make fun of the stuff I LIKE(and have an immense romantic attachment to) and brutally mock it.

Does anyone else think this is right?
This is the third time it's happened AND it was over Ben,which is the MOST precious to me. Please post your thoughts.
 
Well hey,It STARTED out as a pretty good secret when I was 10. But when He got drawn in my books(because I used Caspian in my stories then) EVERYBODY knew who he was. the long hair was unmistakable. So then of course I HAD to tell people about it,because if my mum wants an answer YOU GIVE HER an answer.
My sister picks unsuspicious boys to crush on,therefore she can crush in perfect safetly. I'm like in constant jeopardy,never knowing who'll tease,find out MORE facts ETC. next!

Blaugh! Why is my love life so lame?
 
NONE of my parents are understanding. My DAD is the one who called him Butt Barnacle and my Mum is the one who tells me to lighten up.

LAST time they made fun of my crush,I cried...Really,REALLY hard. Thats why I'm trying not to let Ben get in any brutal conversations because then I'll cry again and...and I don't want to repeat what happened last time. Luckily I didn't cry,but with any hope,My mom will go soft in her sleep and be all like "I'm sorry!" in the morning.

How it all started was,I was hinting at hazel to ask dad about HER getting an autograph from her favorite GIRL singer Hayley Williams,but it went down the wrong hill and ended this way.:rolleyes:

okay,I got to stop complaining now before everyone's ears fall off:D
 
Your life will get better. I had a crush on. Someone and them I moved away. I still like him a lot so I wrote about him in a journal. One day they found about it. Teasing lasted for weeks. But then it died down. It will stop. Don't worry about it to much
 
aww,heck I have it better than you then! Mine lasts for an hour and then they forget about it. But seriously,the hour feels like hell.

WEEKS? Girl what parents do you have? thats just outright mean. I mean,can't a girl fancy someone without the object of admiration being mocked? sheesh,people act like love is stupid sometimes.
 
haha I laughed at the last post.....NOT my parents!!:p my twin brother and little sister! my mom never teased me about that kind of stuff. My dad did not even find out.:p

Oh poor thing! My sister is really understanding,its my Parents who like to tease. My cousin matt is really brutal too. It gets old real fast.
I'm feeling better today,but I'm just WAITING for one of them to snap:D
 
Dusty, I think your mom is kinda right, but you are as well. Perhaps, if at all possible you should try not to let it bother you so much when you get teased. That's hard. I think only God can change how you actually feel about something. All you can do is change how you react to certain situations. If they see it doesn't bother you they may stop. There are mean people in the world and you can't let them upset you because they are everywhere. If they can upset you easily you will walk around with a chip on your shoulder for the rest of your life. Pray and ask God to help you with your feelings.

On the other hand you are correct. Teasing is wrong. I can see playing around with a few jokes and some sarcastic remarks all in the name of good fun. But when a person says, "Stop teasing me! That hurts," it goes from fun to harmful and it needs to stop. Your own parents pushing you to tears by their teasing is completely backwards. Their role should be to pick you up after peers tease you, not we, the peers, picking you up after your parents break your heart.

I will pray that they become more sensitive to your needs and that God uses this time to make you a stronger person.

I DO react lightly though. I laughed....really really hard and I don't cry and try to just lighten up when they make jokes,but it still stings y'know.
I'm homeschooled,so my parents are like my peers(being the eldest.)
I used to cry when people teased me,but I worked that over and now its a bit better,but I'm just naturally sensitive and NOBODY respects that.
I do tell them all to stop and they just try and tell me that I'M the blame.

Now don't get me wrong,my parents are GREAT people. This has just been the worse case of teasing yet. I can handle it from my cousin,I don't see him everyday,but from my mum and dad.....wow that's harsh.
So,I'm not like saying I hate my mom and dad,I just wish they'd see my side of it. But if I did say they'd bruised my feelings,then that would mean another lecture on not taking myself so seriously.

When I turn 13 this november,my life is gonna be hell. I really really hate the awkward stages. Probably why I relate with Ben so well.

thats all I have to update. Thank you all for making me feel better. You all really brightened my mood. The teasing is OVER now and I can revert to my SCA spy life:D yippee! I feel lucky!

I am always glad to help! I don't think you're saying you hate your parents or that they're bad people. They are simply flawed people like we all are. Man, how I wish those God placed in authority over us were perfect. Then they wouldn't make all these mistakes that end up hurting us.

Being sensitive is not a bad thing. It helps you better relate to other people imo. It's a gift but it can turn against you. As a result of being extremely sensitive you probably treat your peers with more care and respect than most, and when they are in a time of need they are more likely to come to you because you won't verbally beat them over the head. I sound like a bad facebook quiz now lol!

I need to go check out these links now. Looks like you've found stuff of Mr. Barnes I haven't seen :D
 
hmmm September - Januarary. I wonder if he will make it to the premiere of VTD...

WAIT! A soldier????? Are they gonna chop of all his hair??? :( Oh well. It'll grow back if they do.

YAY! I BEAT YOU TO INFORMATION! WEEEEEE! No,his hair won't be chopped off. Its just the same style as it was for the DG premier.
Oh yes,My friends and siblings do come to me for comfort. I'm the Ingram care-bear!:D
Well,mom and dad seem to have forgotten it now. Just wait till we get to August 24. I'll have HAD to have gone to Brits(a local english shop) by then and of COURSE they will have a DG poster up. Boy will mum be asking questions.

Its spelled REAGAN,and I got bored of it.
I all of a sudden got really interested in airplanes,and I wanted something simple.

I've noticed you never have a Ben Barnes banner. Do you want one of mine? I have quite a few to spare...
