Bernard Hill As King Miraz

bernard hill doesn't strike me as an evil usurper type! :) maybe christopher lee??well...he might be a little old BUT...he does a pretty darn good usurper( saruman, count dooku, the scientist on grimlins II-the grimlins movies are pretty darn freaky, like twisted muppets,i don't recommend them...).

I dont think they should use anyone who has been a king/evil guy in other well known films - otherwise it will shade everyones view of Miraz to begin with..... I agree with the someone unknown.

they'll probably cast just about everyone from an unknown? :) i just hope they don't make tash too creepy looking in TLB.i read the part when it floated past tirian, etc, gave me the jeeby-heebes(heebie-jeebies backwards?)

They have to make Tash creepy looking! I mean you wants a cute Tash? He's ment to be creepy, scary, evil, etc. (You get the piture) And they better make him that way!

I agree with Elendil, He is suppose to be scary, so make him scary and firghtening, i dont care about the childrens age, it is just common sense to make a scary charactar in a book look scary in a movie?right? well thats my opinion anyway.

Hey welcoem here, can i call you macmarshy?
anywho, the miraz in the bbc's reminded me of Theodin, the king of rohan from the lotr movies

Yep - I think exactly the same. Miraz from BBC totally reminded me of Thoeden/Bernard Hill from LotR

Hehe... NO Gondor Knight... NO. :D

'GGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDD MMMOOOOOOOORRRRRRRNNNNIIIINNNNGGGG NARNIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

:D

Gondor Knight of Narnia said:
what about robin williams for a miraz? :D
Robin Williams as MIRAZ? one word: shocking...lol
I can't think of an actor I'd like to be King Miraz...hmmm. I can think of lots of guys to be his evil backstabbing assistants (Lord Glozelle and Lord Sopespian). hehe

Miraz casting ideas ;)

I have 2 ideas for actors to play King Miraz:
John Glover

Michael York

They have the dashing yet evil look, don't you think?! John Glover is Lionel Luthor from the WB's "Smallville", and Michael York was Stone Alexander in "The Omega Code" and "Megiddo: The Omega Code II".

John Cleese? Imagine his powerful performance:

"Ay, treason again? I shall have you burned at the stake, and then, if I am REALLY angry, I shall scatter your ashes on the dung pile behind the royal stables. And that's for starters!"

Rowan Atkinson? Awe inspiring:

"And if I compared you to a squashed mushroom after the flies have had their way with it...and I am currently so inclined...I should be treating you more charitably than you deserve."

I've always imagined Miraz not to be that old and looking like Rufus Sewell..........yum but Bernand Hill is a fantastic actor and maybe he could do the part justice but it's just not who i would have imagined.
