Holy Moley, I completely forgot one! This dates back before I ever adopted the orphaned Wood Nymph.
Something like eleven years ago, I undertook a project with a young cosplayer named Samantha Goodson. I forget what character name she used, but the role was as a fairy. Note that Pholus the Centaur is personally acquainted with Samantha. She and I had already performed together at the Colorado Renaissance Festival, and more briefly at the New Mexico Renaissance Fair. Later, there came a one-night performance at a city park in Golden, Colorado, not far from Boulder. The occasion was a one-evening outdoor screening of the live-action Dawn Treader movie.
This was the cosplay gig I'm building up to. Before, during and after the film, I pretended I was one of the slave traders. Roaming among the audience, I repeated the excuse that I was "only a human resources coordinator." Samantha, in fairy garb with wings, was under orders from Aslan to track me down. All through the movie, she crisscrossed the park as if she couldn't see where I was dodging. Only when the end credits began rolling did she "catch" me at the refreshments counter and place me under arrest. Then I "bribed" her by buying her a slice of pizza.
She even took part in the Lafayette (still Colorado) Festival of Faerie, where my own roleplay was as the legendary Russian bard, Sadko of Novgorod. Somewhere after this, I lost track of her. Pity, she was a good kid.
