Cliques?

Okay, so this is one of my outfits (one of my favorites actually )

So based on this how would you see me? Oh and I do have turquoise colored bangs. So yeah judge me how ever you like just based on how I dress.

I would say you have style! But tis my opinion :D At my school you'd probobly be labeled a "scene kid," because you like outfits like that and listen to bands like Fall Out Boy and Paramore. I don't know about specific cliques at my school, but I've been labled a "scene kid" a few times. Whatever.

At my school its common to see a group of friends who are all extremely different. But mostly at my school everyone knows everyone, but if you play a sport you're most likely more popular. (For the record I am extremely unathletic and can hardly walk in a straight line and am surprised I ever passed gym classes :p)

I think it's kind of lame to restrict yourself to only having friends in one specific "clique" or "group." Everyone is different and you never know where you'll find a friend who has alot in common with you.

There are definetelt cliques at my school, and I think it's retarded. Lots of people set so much store om what stereotype they are. I myself don't really fall into one specific, i"m a little of most all of them. Though i guess if I was one, it would mainly be nerd.

I go to a private high school of about 400 students, and we all know each other, and our cliques are, if you're parents are rich or not... which stinks because its a Christian school and people aren't supposed to be that way. anyways, I'm friends with pretty much everyone so I guess you could call me a "clique-breaker" lol:D

well, I don't really see any obvious cliques in my school, except for the "druggies" and the "non-druggies", oh and the nerds who eat at the cafeteria. actually, maybe there are obvious cliques at my school=/
but they're really everywhere, I mean, some people feel more comfortable with people who like what they like, wear what they wear, and so on. and that creates cliques.
People say I dress and look like a "scene" kid, but my hair's just my hair, and well my clothes match up to what I like, especially music.

My old school had this clique about captain underpants books. If you did not have one,you were NOT in.:(

Wow. Now that's a strange place to draw the line.

My school definitely had them, the strongest delineations were between the athletic and non-athletic groups and the druggies and non-druggies but there were plenty of subgroups, mostly defined by a common interest (ie honor society, computer nerds, fashion-followers, etc.) - I can only think of one group that was truly defined by dress, that being the extreme black-goth look ones who (in spite of the stereotype) were not all druggies but they were certainly messed up emotionally in one way or another, so perhaps they found comfort in hanging out with others who were similarly wounded.

It's not reserved for kids either - We were at a church for a while that was very cliquey and it was hard to break into any of the cliques if you weren't wealthy, of a particular age group or from a particular background. After about three years we moved on, leaving only a tiny number of friends behind even after that long. Very sad. The church we're at now is actively anti-clique, folks deliberately go out of their way to make sure everyone is included because it isolates and encourages "us/them issues" by its very existence.

Interesting topic!

I've been labelled "Pull Me" before, but I doubt a sign taped to my back constitutes stereotyping....

By the way, those who pull the tail at one end of a badger soon meet the other end...
